INDIANA REPTILE BREEDERS EXPO *once a month* Introduce
For enthusiasts of scales, shells, and all things cold-blooded in Indiana, the INDIANA REPTILE BREEDERS EXPO is a can’t-miss event. Unlike a traditional pet store with a static inventory, this is a unique, dynamic, and community-focused gathering that takes place once a month in Clarksville. Located in the former Toys R Us building, this expo transforms a familiar space into a bustling marketplace of exotic animals and expert knowledge. It’s a place where local breeders and vendors come together to showcase a stunning variety of reptiles, amphibians, and even some small mammals and insects. More than just a shopping destination, the expo is an educational and social event for the entire family, offering a chance to see incredible creatures up close, learn from passionate breeders, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
The expo provides a fantastic opportunity for both new and experienced pet owners to find their next companion or the supplies they need. As one family’s review highlighted, the variety is impressive, ranging from snow corn snakes and crested geckos to tarantulas and chubby frogs. This a testament to the diverse range of vendors who participate, bringing with them a vast and exciting array of animals. Beyond the creatures themselves, attendees can find everything from food and feeders to enclosures and other essential supplies. The atmosphere is consistently described as friendly and knowledgeable, with vendors who are happy to share their expertise. This makes the expo not only a place for transactions but also a valuable source of information for proper pet care. It's an environment where the passion for reptiles is palpable, making it easy for visitors to get swept up in the excitement.
A significant highlight of the INDIANA REPTILE BREEDERS EXPO is its strong commitment to community and inclusivity. The business identifies as a small, veteran-owned enterprise, which is something many Hoosiers take pride in supporting. Furthermore, the expo is explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly and a transgender safe space, creating a welcoming and respectful environment for everyone. This dedication to diversity and inclusion makes the event a positive gathering place for people from all walks of life who share a love for exotic animals. As one reviewer mentioned, the expo is "fun for the whole family," and they particularly enjoyed the fact that scouts in uniform get in free, demonstrating a commitment to engaging with and giving back to the wider community. This sense of shared passion and mutual respect is what makes the monthly event feel less like a commercial show and more like a true community celebration.
While the monthly nature of the expo means it’s not a daily destination, it makes each event a highly anticipated occasion. This scheduled format ensures that vendors and attendees bring their best, creating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere. Although one customer noted that it can get a little crowded and "shoulder to shoulder," this speaks to the immense popularity of the event and the enthusiasm of the people who attend. It’s a small price to pay for the opportunity to see such a wide variety of animals and connect with a community of like-minded individuals. The accessibility of the location, with free parking and a layout designed to accommodate all visitors, further adds to the positive experience. Whether you're looking to add to your reptile family or simply want to enjoy a unique and educational family outing, the INDIANA REPTILE BREEDERS EXPO is a rewarding and worthwhile trip.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We absolutely loved it ! Lots of cool reptiles and good prices. The only thing I didn't like was everyone was basically shoulder to shoulder and it was a little overwhelming how many people were cramped in there walking around. Other than that it was great ! Will return and definitely reccomend. I also loved the fact that scouts get in free In uniform. My daughter wore her girlscout uniform and got in free of charge. My 3 year old son also loved it ! We came home with 2 baby snow corn snakes, A chubby frog, 2 tarantulas, A baby bunny, A baby crested gecko and bugs for our reptiles.
