At Home Veterinary Introduce
For many pet owners in Massachusetts, the routine trip to a veterinary clinic can be a source of significant stress for both them and their animals. Anxious cats, nervous dogs, and the hassle of juggling multiple pets can make a simple checkup feel like a monumental task. This is where a revolutionary approach to veterinary care comes in: the mobile vet. At Home Veterinary, based in Natick, MA, is a leader in this field, bringing compassionate and comprehensive veterinary services directly to your doorstep. This innovative model is a game-changer for anyone seeking a more comfortable and personalized healthcare experience for their pets.
The core philosophy of At Home Veterinary is to prioritize the pet's comfort by providing care in their most familiar and secure environment: their own home. This simple change has a profound impact, as evidenced by numerous customer testimonials. Pets who might normally be terrified of car rides or a sterile clinic environment can remain calm and relaxed, making exams, vaccinations, and other procedures much less stressful. This not only benefits the animal but also makes the process significantly easier for the pet parent. As one client shared, their cat was "napping within 5 minutes of having his blood drawn," a testament to the calm atmosphere a home visit provides.
Beyond just routine care, At Home Veterinary offers a wide range of services that are typically only available at a brick-and-mortar clinic. Their mobile capabilities include diagnostics like bloodwork and ultrasounds, as well as more involved procedures. This means you don't have to sacrifice quality or depth of care for the convenience of a house call. They are also known for their expertise in handling special cases, such as "behavioral issues" with cats, and provide compassionate support for difficult situations like end-of-life care. This comprehensive approach makes them a trusted partner in your pet’s entire health journey.
The team behind At Home Veterinary is consistently praised for their kindness, patience, and professionalism. Doctors like Dr. Gransky and Dr. Persson, along with their skilled veterinary technicians, are highly dedicated to their craft. They take the time to build a rapport with each pet and owner, ensuring that every concern is addressed and every procedure is explained in detail. This level of personalized attention is often difficult to find in a busy clinic setting, where appointments may feel rushed. Their ability to work with a "wiggly" cat to get a necessary sample shows their persistence and genuine commitment to getting the job done right, with minimal stress.
At Home Veterinary is also a valuable resource for pet owners facing the emotional weight of a serious diagnosis or end-of-life decisions. They offer hospice and euthanasia services in the comfort of your home, allowing a pet to pass peacefully surrounded by their loved ones. They also provide grief counseling and support, showing that their care extends to the human side of the relationship as well. This holistic and compassionate approach truly sets them apart as a veterinary practice that understands the depth of the human-animal bond.
While At Home Veterinary has a physical office at 2 Summer St # 300, Natick, MA 01760, USA, their primary service is providing veterinary care via house calls throughout the Greater Boston and MetroWest regions. This mobile model is the ultimate in accessibility, as they bring the clinic to you.
Because the services are rendered in your home, this eliminates the need for any travel and all the associated stressors. The physical office location has a wheelchair accessible entrance, wheelchair accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair accessible restroom. However, the true accessibility of this practice lies in their mobile service, which is a game-changer for clients with limited mobility, multi-pet households, or pets who do not travel well. Appointments are required for all services, so you must call ahead to schedule your visit.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Gransky and team were so lovely for our first visit. I wasn’t sure what to expect but they made both me and Badger super comfortable. The appointment didn’t feel rushed and we waited for Badger to come to us instead of vice versa before starting any tests. Just having the appointment in his usual environment was such a game changer. He was able to be back and napping within 5 minutes of having his blood drawn. My other cat Bee was also very interested in the team’s bag and supplies. Overall great experience with very calm and kind individuals who made me and my temperamental kitty very comfortable! Will definitely be doing all appointments this way going forward. Highly recommend.
September 01 · Kaylee CrowellStarted using At Home Vet in May of 2021. That initial visit for check-ups with my two crazy cats went very well. One of them, Judy, was impossible to get into a pet carrier. I decided to try a home visit. Dr. Persson and her vet tech came to the home and were absolutely great at keeping them and myself calm while giving them their check ups and shots. She even clipped their nails. The cats a little later in that year also saw Dr. Gransky for let’s say some “behavioral issues”(crazy cat fighting). He was fantastic and had some good suggestions which I implemented and luckily things quieted down.Sadly, after losing my other cat Max to a saddle thrombus a year ago, it was time for Judy’s distemper and a long put off check-up. I was also worried because of a lump I found on her belly and was hoping to get that looked at quickly. The office was able to get me in within a week (4/10/25) and with Dr. Persson again! She and her vet tech were efficient, compassionate and professional, which was definitely needed since after the check-up, we had to get a sample of the lump on a wiggly Judy belly. I really appreciated Dr. Pearson’s perseverance and patience as it took a few tries to get a sample. Good thing it was successful.Turns out, sadly, Judy has a sarcoma. So Dr. Persson gave me some oncologist referrals and I went with Angell. The AHV sent them the medical records after the decision. I did have to follow up with the office a few times to keep things rolling, but all in all, pretty quick service. The only bummer is Angell can not see Judy until 5/5/25. That seems like a while (almost 3 weeks) when a tumor is growing 😕 but AHV were great! Hoping tohave a good outcome here.
April 23 · David MedeirosMy cat and I could not have had a better, more enjoyable, and more precise experience than we did with At Home! The vet and assistant were so personable, fun, and knowledgeable. We hung out on my 3-season porch and talked while we waited for my cat to get comfortable with them. We discussed the issues and how the visit would work. My cat relaxed and was able to settle in before the examination, which made her calm the entire time.In the end, my cat had been dealing with an issue for several months and was misdiagnosed by our former vet twice. We are less than a week out and my cat already seems completely back to normal. We didn't feel like we were being upsold things we didn't need throughout the visit, unlike our other vet visit. We also weren't lectured, but instead encouraged and guided towards future solutions. This was my first time using their services and would 100% recommend them to anyone not happy with their current vet. Absolutely Amazing!
August 31 · Shanton AndersonI'm so thankful for the great vets who deliver care at our home. It's been great for our cats and essential for the one who is so anxious that he gets heart murmurs when leaving the house. Worth every penny.
May 10 · Dana KingI cannot imagine life before At Home Vet...incredibly responsive and competent care--in your own home! My cat is so calm with them going through routine exam, lab draws, and even ultrasound studies which led to a timely diagnosis of a serious condition. I recommend without any reservation!!
