★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Thursday 11:30pm 5/29/2025 we had to rush my dog Stimpy of 15 years to this emergency hospital. There they greeted us as soon as we arrived. The receptionist immediately called Dr. Catherine and the tech took him to the back for testing. Approximately 5 minutes later Dr. Catherine came to speak with us and we agreed on blood testing, urine testing being stimpy was lethargic (staggering when walking and walking into the walls) Approximately 40mins later with the blood and urine tests his numbers were a bit off but no infections. It was believed the tumor in his chest broke and cancer began to spread, being he had a rapid decline within a few hrs. By 4:30am friday morning 5/30/2025 we decided after 15 years we needed to end his suffering. Dr. Catherine was amazing with her hospitality and her level of bedside manner. When administering the first shot unfortunately Stimpy passed but the second shot was still needed. We thank the GSVS in woodbridge NJ for all they have done for our family and the amazing care they gave our families ½ child Stimpy Addam Amari. If ever we decide to house another dog in the future this will be our go to for their emergency needs.
June 02 · James AmariMy kitten was sick with and not eating so we took him to the animal clinic which is open 24 hrs at 1am. Front desk receptionist was very friendly and very helpful. The staff was attentive and let us know all details and what to expect and what tests were needed. When we saw the doctor Catherine she was very professional and let us know what was going on with our kitten. After some test and medication we were told to follow up with our regular vet. Overall we were very happy and highly recommended if any animal emergencies pop up for your fur babies after hours.
June 13 · CaLiTo76I had a great experience at this emergency vet with my dog. I took him in because he had been vomiting and diarrhea for 6 days and we noticed blood in it. We saw Dr Arye and she was very nice, listened to my concerns and suggested how we should proceed. I did ask the cost of each thing we were doing to not be surprised with a monster bill at the end. I was seen right away and we were checking out a little over an hour with everything. Dr Arye also suggested we switch his food and gave us a few cans to try and thankfully my dog loved the food and he will stay on it as long as he’s feeling good. Dr Arye was kind and compassionate, we hope to see her again if we have an emergency. I thought the prices were fair and all tests were explained to me before hand. The office called me with test results as they came back and they called to see how my dog was feeling. Thankfully all the meds that were prescribed to him helped and he’s feeling better. I highly recommend GSVS Woodbridge emergency vet.
March 23 · Ewelina HohenfelsI called prior to bringing my cat in for a price of walk-in and how long the wait was. I was given accurate information. To my surprise we made perfect timing on a Saturday night and was seen promptly. The triage nurse was very friendly and we were put into a room. The vet who came in explained his take on the situation and what course of action he recommended. We discussed what I felt necessary and the price point. He has been one of the only vets to get urine out of my old lady feline. We left with an antibiotic and anxiety meds- flash forward to almost a week later and three phone calls- no one had called me back about the results I spent a lot of money on ( over $800) & my antibiotic has run out. I explained we are leaving for vacation and I need to know course of action. No one has yet to call me back. The woman are the front desk just keeps telling me it’s busy…. I know lab results can take time, but it would be nice if someone would get back to me about anything.
August 02 · C ZielinskiMy experiences at Garden State veterinarian hospital has and is always So very pleasurable and comforting. Everyone is so patient, and friendly. Even my little fur baby is calm when attending a visit with the doctors, I’m sure she knows she’s in good hands. Thank you again for all you do and how you do it.
