Kinder 4 Rescue Low Cost Pet Clinic Introduce
Kinder 4 Rescue Low Cost Pet Clinic, located in North Hollywood, California, operates as an emergency veterinarian service with a focus on providing low-cost pet care. For pet owners in the greater Los Angeles area, finding an affordable option for emergency and surgical veterinary needs can be a significant challenge. This clinic aims to fill that gap by offering a variety of surgical services at a reduced cost. It’s important for local pet owners to understand the nature of this clinic's services, especially given the emergency and low-cost model, which often operates differently from traditional, full-service veterinary hospitals.
The clinic's mission, as stated in its public information, is to provide very low-cost surgical services to pet owners, without requiring proof of income. This model is designed to help those who might otherwise be unable to afford critical care for their pets. The clinic's services are primarily geared toward surgical procedures, which are often the most expensive part of veterinary care. They also manage a rescue and adoption program, which is a key component of their overall operation. The blend of a rescue mission with a low-cost clinic model positions them as a unique resource for the North Hollywood community and surrounding areas.
When considering any emergency service, it's crucial to be prepared and have clear expectations. The "emergency veterinarian service" designation means they are equipped to handle urgent cases, but it's not a 24/7 emergency room. Their hours for emergency walk-ins are specific, and due to high volume, it is noted that arriving early is a necessity. This information is key for any pet owner in a stressful situation. It is also important to note that appointments are recommended, which can help streamline a visit, especially for non-emergency surgical consults.
Kinder 4 Rescue Low Cost Pet Clinic is situated at 5308 Vineland Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91601. The location is in a convenient part of North Hollywood, making it accessible to residents from surrounding neighborhoods like Burbank, Studio City, and Sherman Oaks. For those familiar with the area, the clinic is described as a yellow house with a red awning, located across from a Big Lots and next door to an A-1 Self Storage. This distinct visual marker can be helpful when navigating to the clinic, especially during a stressful emergency.
Accessibility is a key point of consideration for any local business, and while specific details are not provided for wheelchair access for the car park or entrance, the facility does have a toilet. This information indicates that the clinic has some amenities for clients, though it is not a full-service, traditional hospital. The low-cost model and a focus on surgical services may mean that the overall facility is different from larger, more expensive veterinary hospitals in the region.
Due to the nature of an emergency clinic, clients should be prepared for potential wait times. Public information notes that due to a high volume of emergencies, clients should arrive early. The clinic operates on a walk-in basis for emergencies on specific days, and the schedule is tailored to accommodate these needs. Non-emergency consults for surgeries are also handled as drop-offs. The clinic's focus on a "low cost" model means that they operate differently from a conventional vet office, and being prepared for these logistical differences is important for a smooth visit. The clinic accepts credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, providing a range of payment options for convenience.
Kinder 4 Rescue Low Cost Pet Clinic offers a specialized set of services, primarily focusing on surgical and dental procedures. Their "low-cost" model is built around providing these often expensive services at a more affordable price point. While they do not appear to offer the full range of general practice services like routine wellness checks, their expertise lies in critical and common surgical needs. This specialization allows them to keep costs down and focus on specific, high-demand procedures.
- Emergency Surgical Services: The clinic specializes in emergency surgeries, which are available on a walk-in basis on specific days. They are equipped to handle a variety of urgent procedures such as Pyometra, Spleen Removal, Bladder Stones, and Intestinal Blockages. This focus on emergency surgeries is a critical service for pets in life-threatening situations where cost is a major barrier.
- Orthopedic Surgeries: The clinic provides orthopedic procedures for dogs, including TPLO (ACL repair), FHO, Luxating Patella, and repairs for broken legs. This is a significant service, as these types of surgeries are often very expensive at traditional veterinary hospitals.
- Dental Services: They offer both Anesthetic and Non-Anesthetic Dental Cleanings. Their dental services are priced to be affordable, and the anesthetic dental cleaning fee can include extractions. However, it's important to note that additional costs for bloodwork, X-rays, and medication may apply.
- General Surgical Procedures: Beyond emergencies, the clinic performs other common surgeries such as mammary tumor removal, eye removal, and mass removals. This indicates their capability to handle a wide variety of surgical cases.
- Spay and Neuter: The clinic offers low-cost spay and neuter services, which can be done in conjunction with other procedures. For those seeking only spay/neuter services, they provide information on other organizations that offer free vouchers for these procedures.
- Basic Diagnostics: While not a full-service diagnostic lab, they do offer blood work and X-rays, primarily for surgical and dental procedures. This allows for necessary pre-operative assessments to be done on-site.
As a low-cost emergency clinic, Kinder 4 Rescue operates with a distinct model that highlights both its mission and the potential challenges clients may face. Understanding these features is key to managing expectations and ensuring a smooth visit. The clinic's primary highlight is its pricing, which is designed to be significantly lower than other veterinary hospitals in the area. This makes critical care accessible to a wider range of pet owners, including those with limited financial resources.
- Low-Cost Model: The clinic’s most prominent feature is its low-cost structure for surgical and dental procedures. This is a major benefit for pet owners who are facing a significant financial burden for necessary care. The clinic’s website provides a detailed price list for many of its services, offering a level of transparency that helps clients budget for their pet's care.
- Emergency Walk-Ins: The clinic accepts walk-ins for emergencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This offers a crucial lifeline for pet owners who need immediate care for their animals. However, it is important to be aware that wait times can be extensive due to the high volume of cases, and arriving early is recommended.
- Specialization in Surgical Procedures: Unlike general practices, this clinic specializes in surgeries. This focus allows them to offer these complex procedures at a lower cost, as their operations are streamlined for efficiency in this area.
- Payment Options: The clinic accepts a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. They also work with third-party financing options like ScratchPay and CareCredit to help clients manage the cost of expensive procedures.
- Focused Services: The clinic's business model is designed for a specific purpose—to provide surgical care at an affordable rate. This means they are not a one-stop-shop for all veterinary needs. For example, they do not offer routine wellness checks or general consultations, instead directing clients to other resources for those needs.
To contact Kinder 4 Rescue Low Cost Pet Clinic, you can use the following information. Given the nature of their operations, which includes specific schedules for walk-ins and a focus on surgical services, it is highly recommended to call ahead for the most current information regarding their schedule and capacity, especially in an emergency situation.
- Address: 5308 Vineland Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91601, USA
- Phone: (818) 505-0006
- Mobile Phone: +1 818-505-0006
The clinic recommends making appointments for certain services and notes that their phone number leads to a virtual reception. It is important to have all necessary information about your pet and its condition ready when you call. The best times to call for information about emergency walk-ins are on the days they are offered, which are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Their focus on scheduled surgeries on other days means they may have limited availability for phone inquiries on those days. The clinic's website provides additional details on their hours, services, and a form to submit inquiries. For urgent cases, it is crucial to follow their schedule for walk-ins and be prepared for a potential wait. The multiple phone numbers provided are a helpful resource for ensuring you can connect with them when needed, which is particularly important during a stressful emergency situation. The presence of these numbers and the clinic's public-facing information reflect an effort to be accessible to those in the community who need their specialized services.
Choosing Kinder 4 Rescue Low Cost Pet Clinic is a decision often driven by the urgent need for affordable veterinary care. The primary reason to consider this clinic is its commitment to providing low-cost surgical services, which are otherwise prohibitively expensive for many California residents. For a pet owner facing a life-threatening condition for their animal without the financial means for a high-cost hospital, this clinic represents a vital lifeline. The a la carte pricing for procedures and the acceptance of third-party payment plans like CareCredit are significant benefits that make critical care financially accessible. This is the core value proposition of the clinic and the main reason why people in desperate situations turn to them.
However, it is critically important for clients to manage their expectations and be proactive in their communication. Publicly available reviews highlight issues that clients have experienced, including concerns about transparency in pricing, long wait times, and perceived lapses in communication. For these reasons, it is highly recommended to get a clearly written statement of all costs and included aftercare before paying or signing anything. The "low-cost" model may not always include follow-up care or diagnostics that other full-service hospitals would bundle, and understanding what is and is not included is essential to avoid surprises. The provided reviews and public data point to a business model that is heavily focused on surgical procedures at a low price, which may come with trade-offs in customer service and aftercare communication. Being prepared with clear questions, and requesting written documentation for everything is a key step to a successful experience.
In conclusion, while Kinder 4 Rescue offers an invaluable service by making emergency and surgical care more affordable, prospective clients should approach their visit with a proactive and cautious mindset. The clinic provides a necessary service to the community, but it operates on a different model than a conventional veterinary office. For those who are financially constrained and need a specific surgical procedure, it can be a viable option, but it requires the client to take an active role in managing expectations, documenting agreements, and being prepared for a potentially different experience from a traditional, full-price vet. The choice to use this clinic is a calculated one, balancing the crucial need for affordability with the need for clear communication and documented care plans.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1On August 14 , I took my cat — a member of our family for over 5 years — to Kinnder4Rescue for an emergency C-section. She was in labor and needed immediate medical attention. My son dropped her off at 8:00 AM, LAUREN KINDER pressured my 16-year-old son — who suffers from severe depression and anxiety — to sign documents. Despite assurances, we received no updates all day.At 3:00 PM, LAUREN told my son that the cat was a “stray” and demanded $3,000 to release her. When I called to intervene, the woman laughed over the phone and told me to “bring your green card to the clinic” if I wanted the cat back. They refused to release her and claimed she had been sent to a shelter, but when we checked, she was not there. Her current location is unknown, and we are deeply worried for her safety. This entire situation caused tremendous emotional trauma, especially to my son, who now feels hopeless, responsible, and devastated. The clinic’s behavior was cruel, unprofessional, and discriminatory. We can't find out beautiful baby anywhere .
August 15 · ????? Pz.DONT GO HERE.LAUREL- shame on you. Your threats to sue me (and literally anyone else speaking honestly about how bad this place is) is insanity. The best defense against slander is that it's true.Where do I even begin? Before spending any money here, make sure you get a clearly written statement of what all is included for the price! Do not let them scam you into paying for some surgery that then does not include significant after care critical for their healing. They may shock you with their low prices upfront that you can't beat anywhere else, and prey on you because you are desperate .. but then end up telling you later on that to continue the vet treatment necessary for proper care it is going to be additional costs that they can set at whatever price they want -which can total far more than any quote you originally got overtime. They scammed me. GET COPIES OF EVERYTHING BEFORE PAYING OR SIGNING ANYTHING!!! Make sure it's 100% clear.Be prepared to wait hours upon hours to be seen or helped, they will blame other more critical emergencies and small staffing (so they can save money and help you save money too bullshit). Be prepared for little to no communication on the well-being of your animal after surgery, they do zero follow ups at all! Once they have your money, they do not care.I spent $5000 here and was clearly told that all aftercare was included. Attached picture of the discharge paper that even says weekly bandage changes 4+ times. Due to this office being extremely far from my home and having to miss work to adhere to their tight schedule, I had some of the vetting done at my personal local vet office. I texted Kinder4rescue number and clearly told them I was coming far and missing work and they told me OK. Come. Attached a photo. Once I arrived, they took my dog to the back and I proceeded to wait in my car in the parking lot for, I kid you not, 3 hours. I went inside to ask an ETA and was told my dog hadn't even been seen yet. I simply came in for the final bandage change and x-ray (x-ray wasn't written on the paper but any surgeon or vet would know it's absolutely necessary for this process) they told me I had to pay for it additionally and it wasn't included! I was furious. I asked for my dog back and a refund so I can get her seen asap elsewhere (since they clearly got my money and now didn't respect or care about anything after)*To confirm the bandage change is 100% written on paperwork. X-ray, which consciously you know damn well is also included and now magically is not, was not written.. shame on you guys. She told me to leave once I got agitated. I asked for my dog back. She told me once I exited she would hand her over. I didn't trust that one bit because their door has a lock and she easily could've locked me out and kept my dog. I called 911 to report this scam and to mediate my dog being returned to me. Once my dog was returned I noticed she had been left in a back cage for 3 hours unattended and unseen. Evil negligent people here who only care about money and scamming you. As soon as I got home, I took pictures of all of the paperwork that I have and proof. They also said that they spayed my dog on the paperwork which is included in the overall price they charged me and my dog was 100% not spayed. Again, I can't stress it enough. I have proof of all this and attached all of the pictures.I also wanted to finally add that the dog that I am talking about above is a rescue off of the streets in LA that was left abandoned in a kennel, legs snapped, protecting her five puppies, two were sadly deceased. I desperately raised the money using a GoFundMe to not only save her life, but give her a new shot at it and show her what love is! This isn't just some dog. This isn't just another sad story. I am Sunny's voice and way you treated her was not kind. I trusted this office and they really really deeply hurt me.
July 12 · S KNot sure how to feel. In february 6th at 8:30 AM i took my kitty there. he had been suffering with a urinary blockage. When i went in they did the blood tests and x-rays. everything came out normal and they said they could unblock him and drain as much urine out. He had to spend 3 nights in the hospital. They gave us so much hope. At a 7 PM that same day i got a call saying that he was actually not doing well and they had to perform surgery on him. The surgery was $3000 additionally from the $800 i had already spent that whole week. I was devastated bc i knew i didn’t have the money and they didn’t accept any other type of payment except for care credit and scratch pay which i didn’t qualify for since i am barely 18. I knew that i had to make the choice to either put him down or surrender him. basically meaning they would perform the surgery but they would put him up for adoption and i wouldn’t be able to get any type of information about him ever again. it was the hardest decision i had ever made. I love my cat so much he was my first pet ever i had him since he was a baby and he brought so much joy to me and my family as well as our others cats life. I made the choice to surrender him. They told us we could still get some information about how he was and when he was going to be put up for adoption but when we called they were just rude and said they couldn’t tell us anything. Honestly the loss of my cat affected me so much. It also affected my other cat since they were super close and my cat up to that point was doing fine until we gave up on our cat. He stopped eating and had signs of depression. He also wouldn’t sleep and would just lay down all day. They not eating or drinking water got so bad. I didn’t have any money left to take him to the vet since i had to gotten fired from my job. 2 weeks later he ended up passing away. I wasn’t able to pay for a burial or cremation. i was truly devastated now i had lost both my cats in less than a month apart. I don’t wish this pain to anybody.I don’t know they will ever read this or not but my baby’s birthday is approaching. He would be turning 1 years old this month. i just wish i could be there with him and see him on his birthday. I wish i could’ve hugged him and petted him for longer that last time i saw him. I cry everyday for him. I know that God is taking care of him now and that he will find him a lonely and safe place to live. He will always be loved by us.I will live some pictures of him. He is a very sweet and loving cat. I think everyone deserve to experience that love at least once in their lifetime.I love you my sweet Angel forever and always. ❤️EDIT: On May 5 it was supposed to be my angels birthday (the day he came home with me) i was so sad just thinking him. I think about him everyday and i really wish that the family he is with now (hopefully) will celebrate his birthday ❤️ i miss him so much every day i keep having dreams that he comes back to me. I pray to God that he willbe happy and healthy and safe bc that is all that matters to me.I would like to same some more pictures from when i first go him until our last day together. I know it wasn’t a year but for the time i had him i was the happiest person ever.
May 09 · leslu ramirezToday August 13, my 16-year-old son (a minor)brought in our pregnant cat at 8:00 AM. Thewoman in charge forced him to sign paperswithout explaining anything - no treatmentplan, no costs, no consent details his dad was wirh him but he doesn't speak English. It is now nearly 10 hours later and my cathas received ZERO medical attention. She issick, pregnant, and suffering. LAUREL KINDER isrefusing to give my cat back, demanding$3,000, and even mocking me about myimmigration status, telling me to "bring mygreen card" if I want my cat returned,This is animal neglect, financialexploitation, and blatant discrimination. Inmy opinion, she is holding my cat hostagefor money while denying her life-savingcare.If you value your pets and your dignity, stayfar away from this place. We just called the police and definitely we will seek legal advice .* LAUREL KINDER SENT MY BABY TO A SHELTER , WE WENT TO LOOK FOR HER AND WE CAN'T FIND HER, SHE BLOCKED ME AND NOW SHE IS NOT ANSWERING MY PHONE CALLS.
August 15 · Erick.I brought my cat to 4 different vets who said nothing much was wrong. This place found that my cat had had a needle in his throat for weeks. He’d still be in pain without them. Special thanks to Laurel and the techs who thought to ask why my gagging cat hadn’t been xrayed in the throat. I also appreciated that she told it straight. After good bedside manner and false calm led to a failure to actually diagnose my cat, I needed someone capable and to-the-point. Thank you, team. You saved him.
