Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
For pet owners in Connecticut, providing consistent and affordable preventative care is a key part of ensuring our pets live long, healthy lives. While full-service veterinary hospitals are essential for emergencies and complex medical issues, the routine services like vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention are equally important. In Enfield, a convenient and cost-effective option for these essential services is the Vetco Vaccination Clinic. Located inside the Petco at Enfield Commons Mall, this clinic provides a streamlined approach to routine pet health, making it easier and more accessible for busy pet parents to keep their dogs and cats protected.
The Vetco model is designed to simplify the process of preventative care. They operate on a scheduled basis, offering dedicated hours where state-licensed veterinarians and veterinary staff are on-site to provide services. This system allows them to focus on a specific range of offerings, which in turn helps to keep costs low. Pet owners can get their animals' necessary shots and tests done without the additional cost of a comprehensive exam, which can be a significant saving for healthy pets. This article will provide an in-depth look at what the Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Enfield offers, from its location and services to the features that make it a compelling choice for the local community.
It is important to note that a Vetco clinic is not a replacement for a full-service veterinarian, but rather a valuable complement. For healthy animals that just need their routine boosters, Vetco offers a professional and efficient solution. While a review of public feedback reveals a mixed bag of experiences—some customers have noted issues with scheduling and staff demeanor, while others have praised the staff's kindness and patience—the service remains a popular and accessible option for many Connecticut residents who are looking for low-cost, essential preventative care.
Location and Accessibility
Vetco Vaccination Clinic is located within the Petco store at Mall Enfield Commons Mall, 25 Hazard Ave, Enfield, CT 06082, USA. This location is easily accessible for residents of Enfield and surrounding towns in Hartford County. Being situated within a popular retail center like Enfield Commons Mall provides several advantages. There is ample parking, and the clinic is easy to find, which is especially helpful when transporting pets.
The clinic is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom, ensuring a smooth and comfortable visit for all clients. It's important to note that, unlike some walk-in clinics, Vetco operates on an "appointment required" basis. This system is designed to manage patient flow, although a customer review highlights that it is still a good idea to arrive on time and be prepared for your visit. It's best to check the official Vetco website for the most up-to-date clinic schedules and to book your appointment in advance.
Services Offered

Features / Highlights
The Vetco Vaccination Clinic model has several features that appeal to a broad range of pet owners in the Connecticut area.
- Low-Cost Services: A primary benefit is the affordability of their services. By focusing on vaccinations and preventative care, they can offer lower prices than a full-service veterinary hospital, making essential care more accessible to a wider audience.
- Convenient Location: Being inside a Petco store allows for a seamless "one-stop shop" experience. You can get your pet their shots, pick up their food and toys, and even use the self-service dog wash all in one trip.
- Appointment-Based System: While some pet owners prefer walk-in clinics, the appointment system is designed to reduce wait times and provide a more organized experience. It allows the staff to prepare for each visit, although it's important for clients to arrive on time and prepared.
- Knowledgeable Staff: A positive customer review highlights that the staff is "very kind, patient and respectful" and "very gentle with each animal regardless." This is crucial, as a positive experience with the staff can make a world of difference for a nervous pet.
- Pet ID Services: In addition to microchipping, they offer pet ID services, which are a simple but effective way to ensure your pet can be returned to you if they are ever lost.

What is worth choosing?
For Connecticut pet owners, Vetco Vaccination Clinic is a valuable option worth choosing for its primary focus on low-cost, accessible, and essential preventative care. It serves a specific and vital role in the pet healthcare ecosystem by providing a place to get routine vaccinations and parasite prevention without the higher costs and longer appointments associated with a traditional veterinary clinic. If you have a healthy pet that just needs their annual shots or microchipping, Vetco offers a professional and efficient service that can save you both time and money.
The convenience of the location inside a Petco store cannot be overstated, as it allows for a simplified errand that combines medical care with shopping for food and supplies. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I made an appointment for 4/26 @ 2:30pm, ( I was first person at 2:30) the lady who approached us at their check-in podium ( I didn't get her name) was just the rudest person! I simply wanted to find out if my Nalas appointment included certain services and when I simply let her know I had a quick question before she checked me in she replied with " I don't have time to answer your questions because I have to ask you some questions but you can ask the vet over there" I replied with an "Okay?" and just looked at her she then changed her demeanor. Turned out I didn't need the appointment however she marked it as " missed" I hope a Vetco supervisor sees this post.
April 27 · Glendalie MercedEvery staff member was very kind, patient and respectful. I didn’t notice any hint of any employee ever getting aggravated if an animal was not being cooperative. In fact, they were very gentle with each animal regardless. Highly recommend.
October 17 · Martha DohertyTerrible, improperly diagnosed, wrong meds, never met my primary that I've had for 2 yes, they never answer the phones! To top it off every time you need to refill you have to go in and see them and then by the time you do you've been without your meds for days and then your problems come back then you got to start all over that's even the worst part I had to find out through a registered nurse about what I need for meds and what I got that a friend of mine that's a registered nurse I went to the emergency room for hours and I that could have all been prevented with proper care I am definitely changing I'm not going here anymore I'm calling right now to get the right meds and then I'm changing.
August 19 · Bonnie OrcuttNot very good. Called right now to get into a low-income clinic because the Google says they do spay/neuter for cats and dogs. And the guy on the phone says they don't exist. Petsmart in Enfield isn't very helpful either. Lack of questions answered in crazy Enfield.
April 08 · Pat McNeelyThey were great. Very caring and gentle with my very shy and nervous dog. Have been going there for years.
