Petco Reviews
Talked with a gal in grooming to see if I can get my dogs nails cut and she said she would call me back when she found out if they could cut my 10 yr old dogs nails. Ridiculous don’t ya think? She never called back.
August 01 · debbie piperI think pricing on grooming and vaccines were very good .She got groomed one day and shuts the next day. She did great and both.
April 03 · victoria arteagaI dropped my dog off at 9 am for a haircut. He is a mini schnauzer. I take him here all the time; first time booking with this groomer. The groomer was late. She did call to tell me she was running late, which is fine. I understood and appreciated the call; she told me she was new, and it might take around 4 hours after she assessed him. However, when I dropped him off, the groomer walked outside to talk to a man. I'm assuming is her bf, so I don't even know when my dog was started on. She called at 1:02 pm, saying she was just brushing some knots out, and he was getting nippy, and it would take a little longer, but that she would be able to brush out the knots just fine, that she was giving him a break. At 5 pm, I called no answer. I called again and spoke to a young man who works in the store, and he was running back to the groomers to answer my questions for me since they didn't answer the phone. He told me that my dog had not been worked on since the last call I received, and I would get no discount for the job being half done. He then transferred me to the groomers. It took them 20 minutes to answer the transferred call, where they told me that if I picked him up now that he would not be welcomed back, and I would have to pay full price minus the charges for the teeth brushing and nail buffing that he did not receive. When I asked what was cut, she told me they did not touch his face or his legs or the sanitary area, meaning they just shaved his back. I was told to give them another hour and a half, and he should be done. No callback after 2 hours, so I called again, asking about my dog, and was told they're just finishing up, and I can go get him. This was at 8 pm. When I got there, the same man that the groomer was talking to was in the waiting area, talking to the groomer, not sure if he was there all day with her, preventing her from getting her work done, or if he was waiting to pick her up. She pretty much told me that I don't brush my dog, and I told her I don't every day, but he does get brushed. His face was not cut properly; they just shaved around his brows and stash. They did not clean up his eyes or brows, or mustache. I went inside to pay and asked to speak to a store manager about the situation and possibly a discount, and an tall white man maybe in his 30's came up I tried telling him what happened, and he was uninterested and dismissive, gave me 20 dollars off, and said, That's all that he can do and walked away before I could finish telling him the entirety of what happened and my concern. The cashier was more concerned about my dog being there for 11 hours than the store manager was. I asked the cashier if the situation would be dealt with by the manager because he had just walked to the back of the store without hearing what had happened. He didn't even go talk to the groomers, and he said he was not sure, but that they always have excuses for the poor service, saying they have too many dogs to work with and no time. After talking to a former employee who is a friend, she told me that the groomers are not allowed to feed the dogs or take them outside. So my dog was caged up for the majority of 11 hours with no food or potty breaks. The management needs a crash course in guest service, as well as the grooming team, if the dog cannot be finished. They should not just keep them in cages for the entirety of the day and give them back unfinished. And the manager should at least pretend like he cares about the dogs that enter his store and the customers. 96 dollars for a half-done haircut and keeping my dog caged for the entire work day is ridiculous. I have worked in customer service management for 5 years, and if anyone working under me were this dismissive about a customer concern, they would no longer be in management.
August 20 · karina diazThe store is in need of some serious change. I am a consistent shopper at this location and am always in at different times of the day to get supplies for my cats and fish at home. Whenever I'm in there's always the same girls running around from the animal section to the front and rude customers skipping to the front of the line. I thought you would have more care for your employees Petco??? Not to mention the treatment of the management to these women and men who work here. The person I saw coming in and not yelling at his employees the way he does also sits casually taking smoke breaks right outside the store where people are parked. The workers are always so nice and helpful but I hate seeing them worked to the bone with no help Petco you need to do better and higher more people. I can see this place is going down because not only do they not care about their employees but they don't keep a clean store. The lights are out at the top and I can see so much dust in the vents. They really need a management check because I've see the same manager doing nothing and treating his employees like they are nothing. What a shame Petco do better.
