★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Lovely pet store on Exchange Street. Helpful staff. They make their own super cute bandanas. We also found a new favorite toy, the indestructible snake! Theo doesn’t go anywhere without it. Great recommendation. We also purchased a lobster bandana, very well made and so cute.
August 16 · Paola PaoliUncommon Paws – Where the Stylish Force Meets the Furry SideWandered into Uncommon Paws while navigating the Portland quadrant, and I must say—this shop is a sanctuary for both beast and Jedi. The staff? Friendly and full of knowledge, like wise temple guides. We picked up a couple of toys for both our dog and feline crew members, and left feeling like heroes of the Rebellion (or at least heroes to our pets). But the real gem? Their collars and leashes. Designed in-house and handmade in Maine, these aren’t your run-of-the-mill spaceport accessories. They offer an impressive array of unique, durable, and fashion-forward options. From martingale styles to quick-release buckles, each collar is crafted with quality webbing and hardware strong enough to leash a wookiee—yet stylish enough for a Coruscant catwalk.Their leashes match beautifully, with lengths and patterns to suit every mission—be it an urban stroll or woodland patrol. And yes, rainbow designs are available for proud pups flying their true colors. Also spotted: cozy beds, gourmet treats, and even dog jackets that would make a tauntaun jealous.Uncommon Paws is more than a pet boutique—it’s a celebration of style, loyalty, and locally made excellence.Whether you’re traveling with a scruffy-looking nerf herder or a refined feline Jedi, this is the spot.🐾 Adopt the collar. Walk the path. 🐾
June 29 · Dain Vossar (Galaxy Wanderer)I knew when I peeked in the window I would find wonderful things in this store! So many unique and fun toys, leashes, collars, treats, etc. I bought the most beautiful collar for my girl. We get so many compliments on it! High quality metal hardware and even after months of use it still looks new. If I visit Portland again I'm definitely going back to Uncommon Paws!
April 12 · Carissa TurnerOnly bought a cute Fluff and Tuff blue lobster toy for my 3 dogs because the saleswomen did a good job explaining how it was made different and tougher than other toys. 900 miles later I finally was able to give it to them, but less than 10 minutes later there was already a hole forming. Less than 20 minutes later the squeaker and all the stuffing was torn out before my other two boys had their chance to play with it. Pretty disappointed the toy failed to live up to the hollow sales pitch, now I've got 3 unhappy pups wondering what why they no longer have a gift from my trip to Portland :(
August 05 · Luke KwiatkowskiWe have a blue heeler who is very rough with his toys. The lobster that my daughter and I bought in Nov 23 lasted almost a year!!! I had my niece purchase another one for Christmas this year. Louis was so excited when he saw his stocking. He just sat there staring at it. So cute. Here are photos with his first lobster and Christmas morning.
