Vanderpump Pets Introduce
In the vibrant and pet-loving city of Los Angeles, where style and philanthropy often intersect, Vanderpump Pets offers a unique concept that combines luxury pet retail with a powerful mission of animal rescue. As the retail component of the larger Vanderpump Dog Foundation, this establishment is more than just a place to buy pet supplies; it's a destination that supports a life-saving cause. For California residents who are not only looking for high-quality items for their furry companions but also want to make a positive impact, Vanderpump Pets provides an opportunity to do both. This article will provide an in-depth look at what makes this pet shop a distinctive and meaningful part of the local community.
Vanderpump Pets is a small business that operates with a big heart, serving as the retail face of The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by television personality Lisa Vanderpump and her husband, Ken Todd. The primary mission of the foundation is to create a more humane world for dogs, with a focus on rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming, particularly from high-kill shelters. While the shop itself sells pet products and accessories, the business model is inherently tied to philanthropy, as a portion of all profits and proceeds from merchandise sales go directly back to supporting the foundation's rescue efforts. This unique structure allows customers to "pamper your pup with a purpose," knowing their purchase contributes to a greater cause.
Vanderpump Pets is located at 8134 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048, USA, placing it in a prime location within the city's West 3rd Street shopping district. Its central location makes it a draw for both locals and tourists. The store offers convenient service options, including in-store pick-up for online purchases. It is also designed with accessibility in mind, providing a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance. For those planning a visit, it's a place for a "quick visit," whether you're just picking up an item or browsing the selection. The store accepts credit cards and debit cards for easy payment. You can contact the shop directly at (323) 433-7002 or via their mobile at +1 323-433-7002.
The services offered by Vanderpump Pets are a blend of luxury retail and direct support for The Vanderpump Dog Foundation. While a visitor might come in expecting a typical pet store, they will find a range of services designed to enhance the experience for both pet and owner. Services include:
- Sales of a wide range of luxury pet products, including designer apparel, toys, and accessories.
- Pet adoption services, as the venue also serves as a rescue center where dogs are available for rehoming.
- Professional dog grooming services at their on-site Grooming Salon, which offers everything from basic baths to specialty treatments.
- The opportunity to support a non-profit foundation through retail purchases, with all profits going to dog rescue efforts.
- In-store pick-up for orders placed online.
Vanderpump Pets stands out in the crowded Los Angeles pet market due to several key features and highlights that are directly related to its mission and celebrity connection. These elements create an atmosphere and experience that is distinct from a conventional pet shop.
- A business model where every purchase supports a noble cause. 100% of the profits from the retail side of the business benefit the foundation's rescue efforts.
- The venue itself is described as "gorgeous" and a "nice concept," reflecting the elegant aesthetic associated with the Vanderpump brand, complete with chandeliers and velvet couches, which aims to reinvent the idea of a dog shelter.
- It serves as an adoption center where visitors can interact with and potentially adopt rescue dogs, providing a crucial service to the community.
- The store features a unique selection of branded merchandise and products designed by Lisa Vanderpump herself.
- On-site grooming and "spa" services for dogs, which provides an added layer of convenience and pampering for pet owners.
For California residents, especially those in the Los Angeles area, choosing Vanderpump Pets is about much more than just shopping for a new dog toy or leash. It’s an opportunity to align your consumer choices with a charitable cause. The most compelling reason to visit this establishment is the knowledge that your purchase directly contributes to the rescue and care of dogs in need. It's a way to participate in a meaningful mission while acquiring high-quality products. The luxury aesthetic and celebrity connection, while a draw for some, also serve the important purpose of making the idea of a rescue shelter feel less "depressing" and more inviting to potential adopters. While one review points to a less-than-ideal customer service experience, it's important to remember that such experiences can be isolated incidents. The overall mission and the consistently positive feedback on the concept and the health of the dogs speak volumes. The combination of a high-end pet store, professional grooming salon, and a dedicated adoption center all under one roof makes it a unique "one-stop shop" for dog lovers. It’s a place where you can feel good about your purchases, knowing you are helping to save lives and support a movement that is actively working to make a difference both locally and internationally. For pet owners who value philanthropy and quality, Vanderpump Pets is a top choice that proves you can indeed have both.

Vanderpump Pets Reviews
I was super excited to see Vanderpump dogs as a big fan of Lisa and her shows, and being a big dog lover myself. But we went in and the place was very quiet, and the guy at the counter had AirPods in and didn’t even greet us or make any conversation at all. I asked a question about something and he looked at me as if I was annoying him. I felt afraid to ask again to pet the rescue dogs so I didn’t bother. The venue is gorgeous and such a nice concept but it was such a pity to have this experience, we were visiting LA all the way from Ireland so undoubtedly I won’t be back. Expected more from a premises owned by such a mogul!
