★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I cannot express enough how grateful we are to Dr. Stuhr and his wonderful staff. My 9 year old lab mix Theo who is diabetic, developed cataracts almost overnight. It was so scary and confusing for him to all of a sudden not be able to see and we were just devastated.Dr. Stuhr was recommended by my vet and we made the appointment right away. They were able to see us that same week and schedule the surgery. Thankfully, it was just in time, since his eye pressure in his right eye rose to a dangerous level the night before the surgery, and we almost lost his eye. Dr Stuhr was able to save it and remove the cataracts so our baby could see again! The whole process from start to finish was amazingly smooth and all the girls there are so warm, knowledgeable and efficient. They really made Theo feel comfortable and safe. I cannot recommend them enough. If I could give 10 stars I would!First pic is before surgery , second pic is after surgery and third is on our way back for our 6 week checkup 😊
August 25 · Suzanne ToussaintThank you Dr.Stuhr for the exceptional care you provided to Beba. The kindness and caring towards Beba in her difficult time of her life before and after cataract surgery made a huge difference on her life making her feel better and she is very happy. Your dedication and expertise were truly appreciated. Thanks 😊
April 23 · LizaI was referred to this clinic to check if my dog had cataracts, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Initially, I had contacted another eye clinic, but they charged twice as much and required a hefty upfront payment just for an exam. Thankfully, when I found this clinic, I was relieved to discover they offered more affordable pricing and didn’t demand any upfront costs for a simple evaluation. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind and gentle with my little girl. The vet thoroughly examined her eyes and confirmed the presence of cataracts. They took the time to explain what cataracts are and walked me through all my options without any pressure. There was no push for unnecessary tests or procedures; instead, they allowed me to make the best decision based on her current condition.I will absolutely be returning here for any future vision concerns, not only for her but for my other dogs as well. Highly recommend!
February 28 · Mari BaciI got my baby Scooby’s (Great Dane and Mastiff Mix) eyes done here because he had a cherry eye in one eye and a cartilage issue in the other. The doctor there explained everything to me in detail (including the risks)and took care of him as soon as I gave the OK. I felt that all the staff were friendly and loved Scooby his surgery was quick (a one day affair) and they did an excellent job! I posted some pictures of him before,a week after we took the cone off and 2 months post opp! My baby is so handsome and a lot more comfortable!
April 10 · Amanda DelValleArrogant Dr… so expensive… examines eyes… 1) prescribes heavy duty habit forming steroid etc… in most confusing 4 word instructions2) Gives no advice on how to comfortably give pills to catsCharges enough…. 500$. To tell me it’s a skin condition!! At second visit !!! Then..1) snidely comments on the number of calls made… 2 to clarify prescription2) one to get instructions to give pills3) one to let him know that after 11 days I’m concerned at cats conditionShortens my return checkup…Says it’s not the eyes!!! Could have said this at first visit…Wanted to clock the 500$ to support his Ferrari collection???Having seen maybe 49 drs over the last 9 years… for myself… I know when prescriptions are not written correctly … and an arrogant unconcerned Dr…He made snide mocking comments about the number of callsMy ability to understand the faulty prescription instructions500$ to get get treated by an arrogant , money grubbing specialty Dr who could have told me it’s was skin related… insteadMy cats suffers horribly with a horrible collar for 14 daysPrescribes an open ended confusing prescription… with no end date… just keep on taking it..that:“ A prescription should **typically have a defined duration** rather than being open-ended. This ensures:Notes on the strong steroid- **Proper dosage control** – Avoids unintended prolonged use.- **Regular reassessment** – Doctors can evaluate whether the medication is still needed or effective.- **Prevention of misuse** – Reduces the risk of dependency or resistance.Long-term use** – Some cats may require ongoing treatment for chronic conditions like asthma or inflammatory bowel disease, but this requires careful monitoring [B]- **Tapering off** – If used for an extended period, prednisone should be gradually reduced to prevent withdrawal effectsBehavioral changes “Who needs a specialty dr who prescribes strong medications without outlining proper risks and instructions?? And then could have told me it was a skin condition??Causing 14 days of discomfort for your cats for a skin condition he could have mentioned at the first visit causing great cat discomfortArrogant and snide comments about 4 phone callsQuestioning my cognitive abilities about his confusing instructions, over prescription of pillsNo warning about medicationThere are 2 other ophthalmologists … I would never go back to this practice…needs to support his Ferraris???I vetted this with a friend who confirmed my experience who worked at a practice for over 10 years…My poor suffering cat……
