When choosing a veterinary care provider in New York, a decision must be made by weighing all available information. The Animal Hospital of Elmont offers a range of medical services and has been praised for its compassionate staff and welcoming environment. For a pet owner, feeling that the team genuinely cares for their animal and is willing to communicate every step of the way is an invaluable quality. The hospital's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility is also a positive aspect that contributes to a more comfortable experience for everyone. However, it is impossible to ignore the serious allegations of overcharging and lack of transparency in pricing, as noted in a public review. This concern is a major consideration for anyone looking for a long-term veterinary partner. It is worth choosing a clinic that not only provides good medical care but also operates with full financial transparency and integrity. Therefore, prospective clients for the Animal Hospital of Elmont are advised to have a detailed discussion about pricing before any procedures are performed and to request a written estimate. While the compassionate staff and welcoming environment are certainly positive attributes, the financial aspect of pet care is a significant factor in New York, and it is a point of concern that should be carefully considered before making a final decision.

July 27 · Cindy BenitezDo not go here, they overcharged me by about $600 on exams and a shot. This place is a rip off brought my cat to another vet showed him the bill and he was like I’m sorry to tell you, but they overcharged you on literally everything. Like the steroid shot that they gave my cat at this animal hospital, They charged $150 at the other vet $35
July 17 · Michael SardesSo I have been using this vet for a few years. My dog has 2 issues thyroid and allergies. For the allergies he doesn't want me to use a topical ointment to help heal my dogs feet from the outside he prefers to have me get shots and apoquel and antibiotics but this doesnt make any sense because i would still have to give relief from the outside so my dog wouldnt get it more infected. Which means my dogs problem will never go away. The thyroid problem well she uses pills but testing must be done to see where the levels are and to determine if a higher dose should be use or not so it started out as every 3 months for the blood work ($550 average). This is expensive. After a few time we got the levels to be in a safe level so instead of testing every 6 months he wants to continue testing every 3 months and if I don't come in for the test he cuts off all my prescriptions so now he holds me hostage. Now I must go in for blood work and pay a crap load of money. And just so everybody know this vet works for banfield who is owned by geico who also monopolies the vet care industry and these are the tactics they use to drain people's pockets. They also decide the prices which are very high which he charges so I will jot recommend this vet he is all about money so find a vet who actually cares not this guy.
May 31 · Leri LlMy family has used this vet for several years. It is a compassionate, thorough team of pet healthcare providers.
June 30 · Kenya LeeThey were one of the many places I went to for care for my cat and they offered the best care and answered all my questions. The doctor and his staff took great care of my kitty. I am so grateful that I found this place. He underwent a major surgery and is now back on the mend
