Dr. Jason R. Lewis, DC Introduce
For many pet owners in New Jersey, providing the best possible care for their animal companions means exploring all available options to ensure their health, comfort, and mobility. In Bridgewater, New Jersey, Dr. Jason R. Lewis, DC, offers a unique and valuable service as a certified animal chiropractor, providing a non-invasive approach to improve the quality of life for animals.
This article will serve as a comprehensive guide to Dr. Jason R. Lewis's practice, detailing the specific services he provides, his approach to animal wellness, and what makes his practice a noteworthy choice for local pet owners. We will cover everything from his location and accessibility to the specific treatments he offers, such as chiropractic adjustments and cold laser therapy, and what customers have to say about their experiences.
The importance of an animal chiropractor is often best understood through the stories of those who have benefited. One glowing review highlights the impact Dr. Lewis had on a 16-year-old Shih-Tzu Poodle mix named Gizmo who was having trouble walking. The owner states that after Dr. Lewis's adjustments, Gizmo was "back to walking and feeling good," and that he "lived another year thanks to Dr. Lewis." The same customer later sought his help for another senior dog, a 16 ½-year-old Yorkie-Poo named Croket, who was also having difficulty with basic movements. The owner reported that Croket was "feeling better" after receiving adjustments and cold laser therapy, and that Dr. Lewis is "wonderful with Animals and he really loves them and cares about them." These testimonials demonstrate the potential for chiropractic care to significantly improve the quality of life for aging pets with mobility challenges.
It is important to note that the experience may vary based on the pet's size and condition. A review from the owner of a larger breed pet mentioned that the treatment they received "caused him to limp worse, and become more stationary." The reviewer suggested the practice might be more suitable for "small lap dogs with smaller skeletal structure." This feedback highlights the importance of an initial consultation to determine if chiropractic care is the right option for your specific pet's needs and breed.

Services Offered
Dr. Jason R. Lewis, DC specializes in a unique set of veterinary care services focused on chiropractic principles. His practice is an alternative or complementary option to traditional veterinary medicine, designed to improve an animal's musculoskeletal health and overall wellness.
- Animal Chiropractic: This is the primary service offered, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of an animal's musculoskeletal system, with a particular emphasis on the spine. The goal is to correct misalignments that may cause pain, reduced mobility, or other health issues.
- Chiropractic Adjustment: The core of the service, this involves manual adjustments to the spine and other joints to restore proper function and alignment.
- Chiropractic Care: A broader term for the ongoing treatment plans designed to maintain a pet's spinal health and overall well-being.
- Cold Laser Therapy: This non-invasive treatment uses a low-intensity laser to stimulate cell regeneration and increase blood circulation. It is often used to reduce pain, inflammation, and to speed up the healing process, making it a powerful complement to chiropractic adjustments.
- House Call: Dr. Lewis offers house calls, which can be a great option for animals that are highly stressed by travel or who have severe mobility issues, making it difficult to bring them to the clinic.
- Veterinarians' Advice: Dr. Lewis works with a veterinarian on the same premises, making it a comprehensive animal clinic. He also offers advice that can be taken back to a primary care veterinarian.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was looking for a Dog Chiropractor about 4 years ago because our Dog Gizmo was having trouble walking. Gizmo is a Shih-Tzu Poodle Mix who is 16 years old. I did a Google search and came across Dr. Lewis, Animal Chiropractor. He adjusted Gizmo and got him back to walking and feeling good. Gizmo lived another year thanks to Dr. Lewis. Now our Yorkie-Poo Dog Croket is having trouble walking, laying down, sitting down, and getting up. Croket is 16 1/2 years old. Dr. Lewis is treating Croket now with adjustments and the cold laser. Croket is feeling better. Dr. Lewis is wonderful with Animals and he really loves them and cares about them. I highly recommend Dr. Lewis.
June 11 · Ron LochmannAlthough the office and staff were hospitable, the treatment my pet received caused him to limp worse, and become more stationary with no will to move. This style of inattentive chiropractic practice might be more suitable for small lap dogs with smaller skeletal structure, but Definitely not for larger breeds.
July 25 · Jacob MasciulliI heard wonderful things about Dr. Lewis. My neighbors old dog was unable to walk and their vet wanted to put the dog down. They went to Dr. Lewis and the dog is now up and walking.I was so amazed, that I made an appointment for my own old rottweiler Lexie who is just starting to have difficulty walking and standing. We were very happy with our first visit. We will be continuing the treatments with Dr. Lewis and doing the recommend exercise for our old girl.
October 06 · Michael RobertazziDr. Lewis is an animal chiropractor. He was a human chiropractor for many years and transitioned into working on animals of all kinds; dogs, cats, horses, goats... He's very passionate about what he does and how it helps our furry friends move easier and have happier lives. He does manual adjustments on the hips and vertebrae just like the way humans get adjusted and he uses cold Lazer therapy on muscles and joints areas.Chiropractic work is good for general wellness to help our pets stay in alignment and move easier to prolong their back and joint health and for pets that are injured, limping or having a hard time getting up from old age. He's very knowledgeable and friendly. He makes his own schedule and will have you meet him at a veterinary hospital that he works with to borrow an exam room or if you have a horse or goat he'll likely go to the animal.
