★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently had my cat spayed at Glen Cove Animal Hospital, and I couldn't be happier with the care she received. The staff was incredibly professional, compassionate, and attentive to all our needs. They made sure to explain the entire process and post-surgery care clearly. This place is also a very great option if you are looking for an affordable animal hospital. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great veterinary clinic!Moochi says thank you!!
January 31 · Jana HugelBrought my Enzo to get some fatty lumps removed. I am very happy with their service. Would recommend to anyone.
April 12 · jeret lamThe overall experience that we’ve had with this place is one that I struggled with deciding to post about however, after dealing with the persistent issue with my cat, I have decided to. This place came recommended to us and I wish that I just honestly stay with the Regular place that we have been bringing our animals to for years. We bought our cat in here to get spayed. We were told everything went well, then noticed she continued to go into heat like symptoms as she did before we called and the woman who answers the phone who has often been rude said she looked at notes and surgery said it went well however we could pay for them to look and see if they left any tissue. We already have paid and wondered why in the world we would have to pay for them to correct their mistake?? We also got bloodwork for her as well I guess they didn’t keep records because when I called for those records and the verification of the cat being spayed I was met with mixed responded and then told I had to come in after I was told I could get them sent. I go into the office and there was the woman at the front desk with a ln employee and she was an absolute rude and borderline aggressive with me, stated they only have a record they spayed her. I then went to put the paperwork away and came back and she was talking with the woman about me saying “oh my God what does she want now”.I was appalled. I then asked them if they could check again because my cat in fact got her bloodwork done there because I was told they were needed to be updated for the procedure Fast forward to us deciding to just take her into the loving facility we normally do which we should’ve just stuck with however they were very busy. Our cat in fact did have a lot of tissue left over. I have never in my life wrote a review like this but I had too. Hopefully if anyone replies as I see they do towards negative reviews here you keep a tone of apologetic compassion that was NOT THERE FROM THE STAFF during our experienceDO BETTER.
May 12 · Tati GWe recently brought our feral cat because we suspected a massive eye infection and dental infection. About an hour later, Dr. Kolbert called to inform us that it appears Mama had a massive tumor and there was extensive damage to her gums and jaw, as well as the eye. I asked if he would wait for us to travel back from Queens so we could be with her when she was put down - Mama was our feral for over 12 years and a part of our family. He kindly waited and explained everything to my husband and me when we arrived. His staff was very kind and offered condolences. I am happy that I took Mama to a place that did not treat her like a feral that didn't matter. She did matter, and I appreciated that. Also, Dr. Kolbert could've done all the procedures and charged us before telling us of her grave condition. I find him to be very honest, and we will return to Glen Cove Animal Clinic.Picture: Mama with her kitten in 2011 who became our indoor cat and passed away just weeks before his mom.
December 22 · Nancy McKeeBrought my 6 year old pitbull, Pinkie, here because she had lameness in her back leg. Dr. Kolbert saw her and did a thorough exam. He immediately diagnosed her with a torn CCL and said she needed TPLO surgery. He took me to his office to show me exactly what was wrong on her x-ray and explained what the surgery would do to fix the problem. I was super nervous about her having surgery and the doctor reassured me that everything would be fine and that she was an ideal candidate for the surgery. He also informed me that another doctor does the TPLO surgery and that the day of they would prep Pinkie and take her to the other location but that I would be able to pick her up from Glen Cove. I dropped Pinkie off in the morning and picked her up in the evening. They had taken such great care of her and I am super grateful for Dr. Kolbert and Anna’s help and kindness. They were very thorough in explaining what I needed to do to care for her after. We are now at week 10 (out of 12) of recovery and Pinkie is like new! We’ve had 3 follow ups with Dr. Kolbert and she made a full recovery. Thank you for taking such good care of my pup!
