★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My dog and I had one of the best experiences here today, we were greeted so nicely by the black haired gentleman upfront (sorry I don't know his name) and Annemarie, they were both so kind, friendly and helpful. Dr. Forsberg was so honest and so down down to earth and we had an amazing experience with him and will most definitely be making him our new vet! Britt was so kind and gentle as well, thank you VCA for a wonderful experience today!
August 09 · Stephanie Zain RNWe had been customers for over 10 years. They have a policy if you are late more than 10 minutes, they cancel you. They were times if they had a emergency , We had to wait, We didn't complain. We arrived 11 minutes late. We got an email that we were 10 minutes late and therefore our appointment was cancelled. The doctor would not see us even though we were there, they said we had to reschedule. Unfortunately this office is about money first. Animal care second. I strongly advise people to find another practice.
August 13 · John ReynoldsI walked in today with my dog around 5:00 pm regarding a medical issue. The receptionist rudely snapped at me that the vet absolutely cannot see my dog because I didn’t have an appointment, and to go to an animal emergency room instead (my dog had a mild issue which did not warrant an emergency visit). I drove 2 minutes down the road to ‘Towne Line Veterinary Clinic’ instead, and they were able to help my dog. (It is a lovely, newly renovated place with compassionate employees). Hauppauge Animal Hospital, on the other hand, is in need of new employees and a complete renovation (it’s dated, dingy and dark). I will not be coming back here.
August 29 · Sara AshmawyHow this place is still open with all the other caring and compassionate vets around ,I will never understand. I stopped going to this horrible place 15 years ago after an incident with my lab. My mother, who has been a loyal customer for the past 50 years and I , put her dog down last week. What a horrible experience at such a devastating time. To begin with Dr. DeGeorge has a personality of a flea. It took her an hour and a half to put down this poor dog that was suffering. She could not get the injection in one paw so she proceeded to try all paws all the while the dog was shaking and panting. Then when she finally came in to do something different, which she should’ve done originally, she didn’t have the injection. It was the most horrific experience, and my mother has such guilt, as it was not a peaceful passing. On a side note, there weren’t even any tissues in the room. I would not recommend any pet owner to ever take their pet there. Finally, the office is disgusting and is in need of remodeling and they overcharge you
June 23 · Christine TenetyI'm not typically one to leave reviews, but after my experience here I feel obligated to warn future pet parents. Save yourself the trouble and do NOT go here. They overcharge and lack empathy. AnneMarie, the receptionist, is unfriendly and overall awful. I've never heard such rude customer service. I have been bringing my dog here for over 3 years now, even after moving 45 minutes away. I decided to keep going to this location to keep the consistency for my dog. Such a mistake. I had an appointment set for 2:20 and had a confirmation text and everything with the time saying 2:20. I ended up being told during my long drive over that I missed my appointment for 1:20 and that there was no availability for the rest of the day. I called and AnneMarie told me that they put in their computer system 1:20, so I could not come to my 2:20 appointment. She then proceeded to tell me that "the 2:20 confirmation text we sent was sent by mistake". If a company sends you a confirmation text for an appointment, that should be honored no matter what. (Mind you, my dog's appointment was for 1 vaccine that takes 30 seconds.) Their ONLY redeeming quality is their very kind vet techs. I wish for them the best and that they find better work environments.
