Robert Woods Dvm Introduce
In the world of pet care, finding a veterinarian who not only possesses deep medical knowledge but also a genuine passion for animal well-being can be a rarity. For residents of California, particularly in the Orange County area, one such exceptional professional is Dr. Robert Woods, DVM. As a veterinarian, alternative medicine practitioner, animal hospital, and holistic medicine practitioner all in one, Dr. Woods offers a unique and comprehensive approach to animal health. His practice is built on the philosophy that combining the best of traditional veterinary medicine with proven alternative and holistic therapies can lead to remarkable results, especially for pets facing chronic or complex health challenges.
Dr. Woods and his team understand that every pet is an individual, and a one-size-fits-all approach to care simply won't suffice. This is particularly true for older animals or those with conditions that haven't responded well to conventional treatments. His willingness to consider therapies beyond the traditional realm, such as acupuncture and homotoxicology, has made a significant, positive difference in the lives of many pets and their owners. As one grateful client who drives 45 minutes for his services noted, it's rare to find a vet who is open to considering both traditional and alternative therapies to find what works best. This integrative approach is at the core of Dr. Woods' practice and is why he has earned a reputation as a compassionate and truly knowledgeable veterinarian who genuinely cares about his patients.
Dr. Robert Woods DVM is conveniently located at 451 N Tustin St, Orange, CA 92867, USA. This central location in Orange makes it an accessible option for pet owners throughout the region, including those who are willing to travel for his specialized care. The veterinary services offered by Dr. Woods are a unique blend of standard medical practices and specialized holistic treatments. This integrative approach provides pet owners with more options for their pet's health and wellness.
Services offered include:
- Traditional Veterinary Care: Including routine physical exams, diagnostic testing, and surgery.
- Acupuncture: A traditional Chinese medicine technique to stimulate healing and relieve pain.
- Homotoxicology Therapy: A form of natural medicine that utilizes diluted substances to help the body detoxify and heal itself.
- General Practitioner Services: Covering a wide range of common veterinary needs.
- Holistic and Alternative Therapies: Focused on treating the whole animal and not just the symptoms of a disease.
- Nutraceutical Therapy: Using supplements and nutritional approaches to support health.
- Preventative Medicine: Focusing on wellness to prevent illness before it starts.
The primary highlight of Dr. Robert Woods' practice is his **integrative approach** to veterinary medicine. His expertise in both traditional and alternative therapies, such as acupuncture and homotoxicology, allows him to provide effective solutions for pets with chronic and complex conditions, as demonstrated by the incredible recovery of a 16-year-old chihuahua with stage 3 kidney disease. The dog, which had shown little improvement with traditional care, experienced a significant return of energy and appetite with Dr. Woods' holistic treatments. This willingness to explore different modalities to find what works for each individual animal is a rare and invaluable quality. The staff, including Julie and others, consistently receives praise for their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for the animals. The practice is known for its empathetic and educational approach, making sure that owners are fully informed and part of the decision-making process for their pet's health.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr Woods, Julie and the office staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We are happy to drive 45 minutes to have our two Border Collies cared for by Dr Woods and his staff. We have had lots of fur babies and have gone through several vets that were very disappointing in terms of not being open to considering both traditional and alternative therapies in order to find what works for a particular dog at different stages of life. We are very glad to have found Dr Woods and highly recommend him. He is a great vet that actually cares about his patients. That quality, I am sorry to say, is unfortunately somewhat rare these days.
August 03 · Ellen RoseI have 3 chihuahuas that have all suffered from acute illness and/or injury within the last few months. Dr Woods holistic care has made a HUGE difference in their stability and recovery. Most significant is my 16 year old male chihuahua in stage 3 kidney disease now has his energy and appetite back. Traditional care, fluids every day along with appetite stimulants, had little if any effect on his stability. Accupuncture and the homotoxicology therapy have had excellent results.I could not be more pleased.
October 01 · Lisa ChampionWe have been going to Dr. Robert Woods for over 15 years. He has seen us through many crises and issues. He actually listens to you. He treats each patient with the utmost caring and compassion. We will never forget how kind he was when my mom had to put her older dog down and how much time he spent with her. Dr. Woods and his staff have gone above and beyond many countless times with their patience and caring. We are very happy to have a vet with the knowledge and ability to mix eastern and western medicines to help our beloved dogs with whatever they need. He is one of a kind.
February 19 · Jolene HicksDr. Woods and his staff are incredible. We've been through a lot with two of our dogs recently and they've all been absolutely wonderful - caring, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile to try and save their lives. I would never trust my pets with a traditional veterinarian ever again.
June 01 · Gina Bonanno-LemosWhat a wonderful office! Last August I sought out alternative treatment for my senior dog who started having seizures. Two other vets ignored my main concern and suggestion of why his seizures were occurring (he had an eye that was puffed out). My first consultation with Dr. Woods was thorough and he listened carefully to all of my concerns and sure enough, my gut was right about his eye. Dr. Woods put together a comprehensive treatment plan for my dog and we have seen so much improvement with his seizures and a few other ailments. He also had a small surgery to remove a lump and it was carefully explained to me (I was super nervous for my dog!!!) and I was put at ease when my dog came bouncing out right after! The staff is great as well - they are always super friendly when I call to make appointments or with questions and to make Rx refills. They even call and follow-up when they say they will! I recommend Dr. Woods to anyone and everyone with a furry friend! On a side note, the office is super cute the way it's decorated, they have a huge selection of candy and coffee, and free toys to take home for your pet. I also love to follow their Instagram and daily puppy posts!
