★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My dog, Millie, was evaluated promptly and then I was told that it would be awhile until she had her procedure, since she was not in pain, nor had a critical condition. We both waited until she was take into the back for her procedure and I was sent to Walgreens to fill one of her prescriptions. I thought this was really great, because this medication in veterinary preparation is very expensive and the human version is about $20.00. It's nice that they take that into consideration. I came back from the pharmacy and, eventually, Millie was conscious enough to be discharged. I was given clear instructions about aftercare. Everyone there was helpful and nice. They also keep the place spotless!
August 25 · Deborah GreiffI’m gonna tell you right now. Do not take your pet there because you are risking his or her life by bringing them to Boston West veterinary emergency hospital. Our dog was not eating or drinking for about for a few days so we were talking to a very dear friend of us and he said take him to the ER so we went to them, and Shana was being fantastic. The receptionist the nurse was fantastic. The veterinarian doctor was a disgrace and very despicable. She was arrogant very pompous and also very prideful. My wife and I. We told that veterinarian that our dog has a food allergy, sensitive stomach and she says well how do you know that our veterinarian that that we take scrappy to while she says you didn’t answer the right questions. She was going on, but what she would do she says to my wife and I she basically belittled my wife and I. As far as we’re concerned, she’s also very unprofessional. We will never go back there again. We took our dog to our own veterinarian and according to them, which I do agree with they have a bad reputation and I can see that they’ve had a lot of complaints. They told us to stay away from Boston West and go to a place in Grafton, which we will do from now on. It’s wrong to attack the owners and also to act like you’re God, and treat the owners horrible which is what she did. I don’t like being insulted. I told her that I served in the army for 20 years and I was overseas. She basically couldn’t care less she was more interested in making money for the hospital then taking care of our dog. The nurse was very good and so was Shana the receptionist we had a great experience. The first time we went there now we won’t bring our dog there ever again. I’m concerned my wife is concerned. It was a waste of our time.
July 31 · Reverend Robert GillOverall my experience was positive. We had to wait for a while for the nurse to get to us, then Vet, then test results and nurse again to discharge us. However, they were the only 2 working besides the front desk and they had other pets in need as well - so just goes with it being an emergency hospital. The front desk folks were great as was the Doctor. The nurse seemed harried and not thrilled to be there. I’ve been there before and most of the nurses and Doctors are great. Also, I’ve never seen a cleaner, more well-stocked ladies room anywhere - and I’ve driven across country 4x. They clearly thought of everything one might need for a longer stay.
September 02 · Peggy O'HareWe can’t thank the team at Boston West enough! They took such great care of our dog when he was injured by a car, both the night of and in the months to follow. The team helped us be the best dog parents we could be for him during his recovery and they made him feel so loved and cared for while he was there. Recommend this to anyone who is facing some sort of dog emergency.
July 27 · Mike WhiteI brought my senior pug to be evaluated. My vet DR Rebecca was simply wonderful. She explained everything and explained what ti look for once I got him home. The facility was super clean.
