Slatersville Veterinary Clinic Introduce
For pet owners in Rhode Island, finding a veterinarian who combines professional expertise with a genuine, family-oriented approach can make all the difference in a pet's life. Slatersville Veterinary Clinic, located in North Smithfield, stands out as a practice that has cultivated a reputation for being exactly that kind of place. Identifying as a women-owned business, this clinic has become a go-to for many local residents, providing comprehensive veterinary care that is both state-of-the-art and deeply personal. It's a place where every visit feels less like a sterile appointment and more like a warm, welcoming interaction with people who truly care about your animal companion. This ethos is a core part of their identity, setting them apart from the more impersonal "factory-like" veterinary practices that are common today.
The clinic's commitment to patient and client comfort is evident in the heartfelt reviews from their community. Clients consistently praise the staff for their kindness, patience, and the feeling that they are walking into a family. This sense of belonging is a key reason for their loyal customer base, with one reviewer noting that their family "MUST be in there at least once a month." This high level of trust is built on a foundation of open communication and empathy. Staff members, including Dr. Scott and Dr. Gardner, are celebrated for taking the time to "truly listen to any concerns you have," explaining everything well, and even providing a printout summary of each visit. This dedication to education and client reassurance is invaluable, especially during difficult times. The staff’s compassionate handling of end-of-life care, including the provision of pawprints and nose prints, demonstrates their profound understanding of the human-animal bond and their commitment to providing comfort through every stage of a pet’s life.

June 13 · Will SolyMy absolute favorite vet ever!Dr. Scott, Dr. Gardner, Kayla, and everyone else are so wonderful. You’re not walking into a factory like most vets nowadays, it truly feels like you’re walking into a family. Between me, my sister, and my mom, we MUST be in there at least once a month! They always take the time to truly listen to any concerns you have, they explain everything extremely well and even give you a printout summary of your visit at the end!I’ve unfortunately had to bring in a few of our older cats to cross the rainbow bridge and even had to bring in the tiny body of my foster kitten who had passed away one weekend and Slatersville Vet was able to have him cremated for me. They even got pawprints and nose prints. It’s always rough to lose a pet and the team knows it. They never make you feel like you’re doing a bad thing, and constantly reassure you while you’re there that you’ve given them the best life, a long life, and are doing the animal the ultimate kindness.I can’t thank the team at Slatersville Vet for always taking us in, always answering any and all ridiculous questions I (or my mom) have even at the most inopportune times, and for being so kind when I’ve had to sit there and ugly cry with our old cats (and when I dropped off my little buddy, Chowder).10000000/10, I recommend them to EVERYONE. 🖤P.S. thank you for not blacklisting me as a client when I first brought in Katarina and the devil himself came out of her. I’m including a picture of her so angry that she was drooling on the carrier and exam table 😂Also including a picture of Rigatoni looking absolutely petrified for no reason when I brought her in the other day!
February 03 · Rachel TI called to see if they were taking new patients as my puppy was feeling ill. They were and were able to get me in the same day. I met Dr Scott upon arrival, and she was very nice and made me feel welcomed. Dr Gardner and Kayle examined my puppy, and they were both very friendly and made me feel good about my choice to bring my boy here. I felt very comfortable during our visit and I'm really glad i chose this vet.
April 28 · Jenny GI called for help with our severely sick baby after spending lots of money at a different vets office with no definitive answers or solutions. They answered questions and addressed concerns on the phone and seen him same day. This is not our regular vets office. I called them out of desperation for answers with hope I'd get help. They ran tests, listened to my concerns, answered questions and they were compassionate and kind throughout the entire process. They made sure we had a private room ready and provided thorough care, answering many questions and providing lots of feedback. They made sure they sent the imaging taken to the emergency vet promptly. Unfortunately after seeking emergency care for our baby and getting absolute definitive answers, we had to make the hardest decision. I called back and again nothing but compassion while helping me set-up our final goodbyes. I can't thank you all enough for your kindness and for your compassion and all of your help. Our baby also appreciates all the loving he received while in your office. From all of us, thank you. Thank you so much!
May 07 · Madeline PaulhusExcellent care by kind and caring veterinarians and staff. They have taken care of my animals in both emergency and routine situations and I always feel like my babies are in the best of hands.
