★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I took my older cat here around November 2024 because he hadn’t had a check up in years. I waited three hours to be seen. The reception was apologetic and even seemed embarrassed. I finally got a room after saying I was going to leave because my cat was getting very upset sitting in the crate that long. They put me in a room that was falling apart. The vet and her assistant came in weighed my cat, and told me he was fine. sent me on my way without even doing bloodwork. I went back 6-8months later and my cat had lost half his body weight. They did bloodwork and found that he had hyperthyroidism. I started him on the medication I was given and he was so weak I think it was just too much on his frail little body.. he passed November 2025I did a lot of research on this and I believe if I wasn’t dismissed at that initial visit with my concerns my fur baby would still be here. And to top it off I called to cancel his follow up and tell them he passed and they never even sent a condolence card. The receptionists were always pleasant but something just doesn’t sit right with me about my experience there and I will not be going back and would not recommend
February 11 · Kayla MaroneyWhile I do love the Vet at the Barn, they get only 4 stars because of their 'bankers hours' The limited availability, forces me to have a secondary vet. I would much prefer to be 'all in' with VATB - rather than be straddling two vets with care and records coordination - but being a working couple, the hours of operation just make it impossible. [sigh]
June 28 · Jackie GiambroneDanielle does the physical therapy there and she has been amazing with my dog Molly, a 15 year old GSD suffering from mobility issues. We’ve been to 5 sessions and there is definitely improvement in her physical condition. My regular vet commented on it even.
July 16 · Nicholas PerrusioThe veterinarians really take the time to evaluate every animal. The care directive is tailored to your animal. No one size fits all or quick fixes. The staff is great too.Everyone is compassionate and accommodating. They never rush you out the door. They can be trusted.
April 27 · Sue BlessingOur Vet recommended we take our senior dog to The Vet At The Barn for a consultation to see what alternative treatments that they offer might help his arthritis and muscle weakness. We saw both a very seasoned Veterinarian who reviewed our dog's medical chart, did an examination and recommended a number of supplements we should try. She also agreed that physical therapy, cold laser and possibly acupuncture might be helpful. Next we saw a physical therapist who specializes with dogs and she did extensive range of motion testing that confirmed his joint troubles, muscle loss and weakness. She had a lovely manner with our dog, sat on the floor with him and he was relaxed and calm. She showed us proper massage techniques and scheduled him for water supported treadmill exercise. His appointment is next week so I can't comment on that process. So, the treatment people we met were kind, knowledgeable and thoughtful about our dog. The front office staff were friendly, attentive and clearly love animals. The only negative, and to us this was not a big deal, but the building is showing its age. It has not been well maintained. For us, as long as staff are well trained, their medical equipment state of the art and well maintained, the staff good to our loved one, the condition of the building is of minor importance. Thus far it has been a positive experience and hopefully, hopefully our dog will feel and do better with these interventions.
