★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The whole process of chemotherapy last year for my dog, Tug, was so much more pleasant and positive than I expected. Tug had no side effects from his treatments and has continued his active (and spoiled!) lifestyle. Our family is so thankful to Dr. Abbo and his great staff!
September 12 · Gabrielle LaCroixDr.Abbo and staff are amazing! Our worries were eased with every treatment and appointment. He delivered a caring one to one experience ( no distractions). Our beloved pet has completed chemotherapy and is living his best life. We will forever be grateful to Dr Abbo and his team.
April 06 · dominique wrightVCS is great in caring for my dog. We have been going since Jan. It's not a happy reason to be there and you go in with a pit in your stomach. The staff & the Dr made us feel better and hopeful. The Dr explained my dog's condition, our options and the financials. It was all laid out to determine what was best for us. We explained our dog gets very nervous in new settings. They were great in helping put him at ease. He goes there now looking at all of them as friends. All of the appointments we made, they took us on time.. no delays. I also feel like the care he received was excellent. We had no issues after treatments & we could see it working. He just finished his treatments and we are starting to go less often for regular checks. Once again, the next steps were explained in detail and every question we had was answered. I hate to see anyone NEED these services, but if they are needed I can't think of a better place.
June 21 · Aja DanielsOur golden doodle, Goose, was diagnosed with lymphoma in January 2025. After a disheartening experience with our primary vet, we were incredibly grateful to find Dr. Abbo and his amazing team. From the first appointment (which they scheduled quickly), we were met with compassion, individualized care, and a welcoming, pressure-free environment.Dr. Abbo explained all of our options with empathy and clarity, and we felt truly supported every step of the way. Most importantly, Goose was treated with such love and gentleness — it gave us comfort in an otherwise heartbreaking time.Goose has now completed his treatment protocol and is continuing under monitoring, and we are beyond thankful for the support, kindness, and professionalism this entire office has shown. We couldn’t have asked for better care.
July 09 · Jenna BowenWe have been going to VCS since August of 2023 after our pup Bo was diagnosed with lymphoma. I was so frustrated with the waitlists that most oncologists had that I decided to explore options even further from us (we live in Salem, MA) and that is when I came across VCS. They had no waitlist and at that point I would have done anything to get Bo help! We made the 2 hour drive down to Buzzards Bay and haven’t stopped since. After meeting the techs and Dr. Abbo, it was a no brainer that I would continue to get Bo care at VCS even if it was a 4-5 hour round trip drive. You are always the only patient in the office at your appt time which allows for a very comfortable space not only for your animal but also you as you embark on a journey that can be very emotional! I have felt nothing but true compassion and respect from the VCS staff! Bo usually HATES vet offices yet every time we pull up to VCS he is eagerly running inside and even makes his own way into the back room for his treatments because he is so comfortable there and the staff truly loves on him like he is their own!! I don’t wish a cancer diagnosis on any pet but if you are dealing with this you won’t regret going to VCS. They’ve made a hard experience feel a little lighter! Bo is now in remission and we still go every 4-6 weeks for his check ups.
