★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It was great they had so many different kinds of fish that I've never seen before every one was nice and answered all my questions and told me what was wrong and why my fish weren't living Ive bought 1 really huge goldfish from their koi pond and 1 really shiny one and I've gotten a albino goldfish and a shubunkn with 2 different colored eyes. All the goldfish are living happily and healthy in my tank. and each time they were really helpful and knew a lot Abt their job some reviews said that they had problems with kids. I don't think that's true I'm 4"11 and look like I'm 8 (I'm 15) I go in there all the time by myself I have no issues with following it's a small store with a lot of staff they are going to be doing their job in the isles and I prefer to have someone near me so I can ask Abt the fish without having to go on a whole hunt for someone. Overall my favorite fish store in Las Vegas they take care of the fish they had one of the goldfish did have a nemo fin but that's ok the fish isn't even affected by it's mini fin. I love this place sm
June 01 · Nadine NadineThis is a review for Michelle. I’ve been to this store twice now in order to gather plants and information for setting up my new tank. Michelle helped me both times and was incredibly informative and very patient with me and my literal hundreds of questions. She walked me through each plant and how to care for them as well as what purpose each plant serves as it relates to the tank and its inhabitants. I also appreciated that while she had amazing recommendations she did not try to sell me on any one item but give the pros and cons of wash so that I could decide on my own. Michelle and all the other members seem to be very passionate about their work, will definitely be shopping here more.
April 13 · Jinho LeeBlue Reef Aquatics is a hidden gem in Las Vegas! Whether you're into freshwater or saltwater, their selection is impressive and well-stocked. The prices are some of the best in town, and the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the hobby. It’s clear they care about their livestock and their customers. If I could suggest one thing to the owner, it would be to consider shifting the store hours to 12pm–9pm. This would make it much easier for local hobbyists who work varied shifts to stop by and support the shop.Overall, highly recommend Blue Reef Aquatics for anyone in the aquarium community!
May 09 · Luis RodriguezI recently started the fishkeeping hobby and was beyond excited to set up my new 120-gallon tropical aquarium. On my first visit to the store, I spoke with a clerk named Andre Williams and explained that I was new to the hobby and needed help selecting fish that would be appropriate for my tropical tank. Andre suggested a few fish, and I trusted his advice. At checkout, the store owner made a comment about goldfish being for cold water—right in front of us. At that point, I had Andre return some fish that the owner claimed wouldn’t be a good match. I appreciated the input and assumed we corrected the issue.Once I got home, I waited for my aquarium maintenance professional, Bobby, to help introduce the new fish. As soon as he saw them, he was shocked and told me these fish were completely incompatible with a tropical setup. I was confused and upset—this was supposed to be a fun new hobby, and now I had fish that could harm my tank.I called the store immediately. A woman answered and put me on hold to speak to the owner. He claimed he “warned” me about goldfish being cold-water fish—but at no point did he clearly explain that they were not compatible with the other tropical species I had. He took my money quickly and made no real effort to ensure I was making the right choice for my tank.I would have spent thousands over time building out this hobby. Instead, they lost a loyal customer over $100 and a lack of proper guidance. They also refused to offer a refund or even store credit for the mistake. If you’re new to the fish hobby, I strongly suggest you go somewhere that takes the time to ask what you already have in your tank and helps you make responsible choices—for the health of your fish and your wallet. Very disappointed.
July 30 · JT PLATANOProbably the cleanest fish store in Vegas. Their staff is helpful. Would have given them 5 stars but the owner does not take care of customers when they buy a product and it needs to be returned or exchanged. I still recommend them for their fish, I would just buy my equipment elsewhere.
