New Wave Aquaria Reviews
Amazing little marine aquarium shop, extremely friendly staff with lots of experience and passion.Shout out for their awesome referrals to Joe's Shrimp Shack and Rivershore Aquariums, since I'm a freshwater aquarist.
June 03 · Alex SheehyWe love this place! We go to new wave sometimes twice a week! Sometimes we don't even buy anything but we want to look at their new stuff. This place always has the most beautiful corals. They take such good care of their livestock and it really shows. Everything is thriving when we bring it home. We are obsessed with their selection of torches, octospawn, and gonis and can't help ourselves. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful.
February 13 · Kacie WarrenBeautiful store and very knowledgeable, down to earth staff/management. My son had a summer class where he received a clownfish, coral, and learned the basics of salt water tanks. About a month in, we were having issues with stringy poop (thinking parasite) and the start of what looked like ich near his mouth. We stopped in thinking about medicating, but after chatting with the staff he recommended different food and some vitamins. Turns out our poor fish was super constipated and doing some inexpensive changes solved the issues. Staff member was also open about the fact the fish might die if it was ich/parasites and set realistic expectations. Will return again!
September 05 · Nissa MOrdered my first fish ever from these folks, was sent a completely emaciated ruby scooter :( no real hope of survival. Have an iou with them for another fish will have to see if the next is any better but at this point I'd definitely not recommend shopping here.I just got a call from New wave with sincerest apologies for the fish I received and promises to make it right with a replacement when my other fish comes in. Jen has been extremely responsive to make this right. I am hopeful that this can turn into a good transaction and potentially a quality reef supply since those are hard to find today.Update 1-27-24..I recieved my replacement order this past week and this was much better service! Jen has been awesome to deal with to correct the initial issue and make things right, the fish I finally recieved were much more healthy looking and stand a good chance at survival etc. I also added some sps frags to this order and I recieved some beautiful chunky cuts of the pieces I selected, they arrived colorful and exactly as I would expect with some a decent bit larger than advertised. I feel like Jen and her team have some great stock and care about the animals they sell unlike some other stores I have shopped with. But, there do seem to be some communication issues in the company, I hope they keep moving forward and can work on their system to offer the great service the first time so replacement orders etc arnt needed in the future.
January 27 · Danielle SekulaI stopped in to check it out and seek information since I was in town for the weekend. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Their set up is beautiful. They had a big selection of frags. I will definitely be coming back and doing business with them once I start up my first reef tank. There is nothing even remotely similar anywhere near me.
