Though the store is clean and VERY well stocked, the staff themselves leave you wishing for a more personalized, pleasant experience. We were not welcomed in, and the cashier who checked us out was more concerned about texting on his phone than actually giving us a smile, or a simple thank you. He made us feel like we were bothering him. Unfortunate. Because of that simple reason, we won't be back.

Friendly cashier. I was greeted as soon as I entered the store. The only downside was the constant beeping at the door. Please do your customers and staff a favor and fix the beeping. Very annoying. Thank you.UPDATE: Had to pick up an online order yesterday (9/4/2025) and the beeping door was no longer beeping!!!Great job, Petco!!! I'll be back soon!

Just left this store - got home and 1 item wasn't in the bag but I was charged for it. I called and was told they'll "hold it til tomorrow" and I can come back to pick it up. I said forget it and just refund me. Was told they cant refund me over the phone. So Petco has my money for the item AND the item itself - thats not right. I asked for a manager to which I was told by the woman I was speaking with that she is the manager. So I asked for her name which she responded with "um im not telling you that". I asked for her name 2 more times which was responded to by her saying "no" and hanging up on me. Called the main Petco customer care line, filed a complaint and had my money refunded in a 5 minute phone call. Whoever this secret "manager" is at Petco Norridge should NOT be in a customer care role with her rude attitude.

This review is specifically focused on the groomer team at this location versus about the store itself. In transparency, we’d experienced issues at other places (including other petco locations) in terms of grooming in the past, so it took a bit to gain trust and find the right fit. Since switching to this location, we have had such a good experience with the grooming staff and with our girls. The team here is very friendly, accommodating, and our girls come home looking and feeling much better than they have from elsewhere - even when the groomers have tackled large matted areas. We appreciate so much finding the right place for our girls!
