★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The family owned pet store closed, and I only go here as a last resort for feeders. After today, I will be ordering entirely online. Reptile carpet which can tear off gecko & beardie nails, aspen bedding for the ball pythons which can lead to respiratory issues. Please do better.
August 10 · Alex StrunkI have to apologize because I don't know the girl's name who works there but she was absolutely wonderful. I had a couple questions about a couple of things and she was right there for me. Just pleasant and helpful and I can't say enough about her. He's young brown hair. Apparently she does a whole lot of different things there. So for me at Petco it was a great experience
August 27 · Jacqui WanamakerJust picked up my Obi…He is an extremely nervous and anxious dog, but the best! So it has been hard cutting his nails and grooming him. I left him with Elizabeth and he was so happy when I picked him up. Elizabeth and staff were able to give him a calming bath and cut his nails etc… super happy with the service and attention to detail, all the staff were very nice, specially Elizabeth. This will be now the place to bring my Obi every month or so for his grooming! Highly recommend!
July 21 · Lini MinDeeply Disappointed with Grooming ExperienceI recently booked a grooming appointment for my small dog (9 lbs) at this location after the Exton shop closed. This was our first visit here, and unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. At drop-off, I was told the groom would take 3 to 3.5 hours, which surprised me since he’s had over 8 grooming appointments in the past, typically taking around an hour. Three hours later, I received a call saying he was finished. When I arrived, I was informed that his grooming couldn’t be completed because he was “biting” the groomers. I was told he wouldn’t let them touch his face or feet, and that perhaps he needed to be medicated for future appointments.I found this surprising—he has never exhibited aggressive behavior at any of his prior grooming appointments, something confirmed by the lack of any notes about behavior from his file at the Exton location. What concerned me even more was that no one contacted me during the appointment to inform me of any issues or to ask how to proceed. When I got home and examined him with my daughter, we discovered that several of his nails were bleeding. It was clear that he was not being aggressive for no reason—he was in pain and likely reacting to being hurt. That would explain why he was defensive, and frankly, I find it unacceptable that the situation was blamed on him instead of acknowledging that something went wrong during the grooming process. To suggest medication for a dog you were actively hurting is both irresponsible and upsetting. My dog does not need sedation—he needs to be treated with care and handled by professionals who are patient and gentle.I hope this message prompts a serious review of how situations like this are handled. Communication, compassion, and accountability were clearly lacking here.
July 23 · Angela JacksonI really like the interactions here. First time stopping in on (5/13/25 5pm) and the person that helped me was super friendly. I wish I remembered his name. It was a cool name like Moses.I went back the next day for a return around the same time. The guy was super friendly and chatty. The girl that was also at the register was friendly and saw my name on my work shirt and had funny friendly banter.Good staff. Thank you!
