The services offered at The Pet Advantage are what truly distinguish it from other pet supply retailers. They understand that modern pet owners need flexible and comprehensive options. - Onsite Services: This is a unique and highly valuable offering. The Pet Advantage provides onsite services, which, as a "Fence contractor," points to their specialized expertise in creating safe enclosures for pets. This is a significant advantage for dog owners, in particular, who may need professional help with containing their pets.

- Wide Variety of Animals and Supplies: The store stocks not only the basics but also a wide array of supplies for less common pets. This includes everything needed for fish tanks, reptile habitats, and small animal enclosures, along with the animals themselves.
- Support for Pet Health: They offer a range of products to support pet well-being, including specific foods, supplements, and grooming supplies.
What makes The Pet Advantage a truly worthwhile choice for local residents are the features and highlights that reflect their deep roots in the community and commitment to quality. The store's long-standing history and reputation for knowledgeable staff are consistently praised by customers. They have proven to be a reliable source of information and products, a stark contrast to the impersonal nature of large corporate chains. The store's unique offerings, such as their fence contracting services, add a layer of value that is not typically found in a standard pet store. The positive customer reviews highlight several key strengths:
- Knowledgeable and Friendly Staff: Customers rave about the expertise of the employees, who take the time to teach and guide them to the right products. This level of personalized service is a significant advantage.
- Healthy and Diverse Animal Offerings: The store is praised for having healthy, well-priced animals, from fish to Madagascar hissing roaches. This reassures customers that they are purchasing from a responsible source.
- Support Local: The consistent message from customers is the importance of supporting a local business that is a true part of the community, rather than a big corporation.
- Flexible Payment Options: The store accepts a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, making transactions quick and easy.
- Efficiency: The "Quick visit" option is perfect for busy Vermonters who need to grab what they need and go, without sacrificing quality or service.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Love pet advantage. Their staff is knowledgeable, they will teach you about what product is best for you (plants, fish, etc.). I have been giving them my business since 1998 (yes new owners and location but still great).I went on my birthday the other day and they set me right up with the below plants and drift wood. My betta loves them. Not to mention they do not have the scandals and corporate structure of the big brands.Support local!
March 09 · Tyler BLovely pet store. Friendly staff, wide variety of supplies and animals. I went to pick up my madagascar hissing roaches (pets not feeders) and they had amazing healthy, well priced hissers. I think some supplies were overpriced but most in-person stores are anyway. Overall good experience.
August 31 · Flerpy NerpieGreat store with a large selection of fish and reptile livestock. In northwestern Vermont the aquarium options are slim. Your choice is either petco or petsmart. Thankfully, there is the Pet Advantage as well and while a lot of the food and supplies here are a bit marked up, the fish themselves are a great deal and certainly beat the quality of the nearby chains mentioned. I'll also add that I was going to order some fish online - some rummynose tetras for an aquarium but I was thrilled to see there is a local fish store that sells a variety of freshwater and saltwater fish and now I don't need to worry about shipping costs or fish surviving the shipping. All in all it's a well run store - and I am an aquarium hobbyist that's been keeping fish for almost 20 years.
September 08 · Philip YazbakAwesome selection of products. A little limited in space so everything is a bit snug but not cramped. Say hello to Simon!
April 14 · Dean GoffWonderful experience at The Pet Advantage! Friendly staff, clean store, and an amazing range of high-quality pet supplies. My pup and I both left happy!
