★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We are so incredibly grateful to Dr. Kachka and the amazing team at 1st Pet Vet. When we brought in our dog Roscoe, we truly thought we were going to lose him. It was one of the scariest moments for our family. But from the moment we arrived, the care and compassion from the staff was evident.Dr. Kachka immediately put Roscoe on a treatment plan and closely monitored his progress. Thanks to their quick action and thorough care, Roscoe steadily improved. We followed the plan closely and are so happy to say he’s now back to his normal, happy self!Thank you to everyone at 1st Pet Vet for giving us more time with our sweet boy. We couldn’t be more thankful.
July 22 · Michelle BolducI brought a very sick stray cat to you yesterday, and the way he was handled was unacceptable. A tech came into the room and said, “That cat is feral and almost got back outside and ran away.” Then I was told the vet couldn’t do much because he was “wild.” He is not feral. He is not wild. I held him and petted him before bringing him in. He was sick and scared. And what do you mean he almost got back outside and ran away? Do you leave doors propped open while assessing sick, frightened animals? That alone shows a complete lack of care and safety. You told me he “wasn’t sick enough” to help. I then asked that you humanely euthanize him at my expense, because it was clear he was suffering. Said the vet would have to do another assessment - for over $250 - What?! However, the vet refused my request. This morning, I brought him to a real hospital for a proper assessment. His body was already shutting down. He was old, every tooth fractured, lethargic, suffering from an irregular heartbeat, his kidneys were failing, malnourished, & dehydrated. I paid $311 to have him humanely euthanized and finally given peace.SHAME ON YOU FOR DENYING HIM CARE. SHAME ON YOU FOR REFUSING HIM DIGNITY. SHAME ON YOU FOR MAKING HIM SUFFER NEEDLESSLY.
August 22 · Debbie AmstutzWe saw Dr Guastella at the Chandler location for a surgery consultation. He answered all of our questions and addressed all concerns after examining our pup. We were very pleased that he uses a conservative approach. His vet tech was also very kind and friendly, as was the office staff. Very pleased with the level of service at 1st Pet.
August 23 · Erin JoanesThe staff here are wonderful. We had to go in to get our kitty, Kiki, euthanized and they handled the experience with much compassion and care. We were given all the time we wanted with him as well as resources for pet loss and grief support to help us through that difficult time. We're very grateful to the staff here for making such a heartbreaking event a little easier on us.
July 20 · Jasmine DominguezWe brought our cat Sammie from the Mesa 1st Pet (also fantastic) to this location to have emergency surgery. The staff could not have been more incredible. Everyone we dealt with - front desk, vet techs, vets - were truly kind and caring. They frequently updated us and answered our questions. Thank you so much for helping Sammie over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend!
