So, what makes Dog and Cat Dentist, Inc. truly worth choosing for your pet's dental needs? The primary reason is their deep specialization. As a dedicated dental practice, they possess a level of expertise that is simply unmatched by general veterinary clinics. This is evident in the positive review from a pet owner whose dog, Rex, underwent a "major dental procedure" and had a successful recovery. The owner specifically praised Dr. Tsugawa for his excellent work and the staff, like Kristina, for their clear and caring communication. This kind of specialized, hands-on care is crucial when dealing with complex or advanced dental issues that can severely impact a pet's health. The negative review, while valid, appears to be an issue with phone accessibility, which might be a side effect of being a high-demand specialty clinic. The business recommends appointments for a reason, suggesting that communication may be more streamlined for planned visits rather than urgent drop-in inquiries. However, the positive review highlights the success of their core services once a patient is in their system.
Moreover, the practice's approach to anesthesia and pain management sets them apart. They understand the risks associated with putting a pet under and take every precaution to ensure safety and comfort. This includes comprehensive monitoring and a commitment to not just focusing on the mouth, but on the whole patient. Choosing a veterinary dentist with this level of expertise and commitment means your pet is in the safest, most capable hands in the area for any dental procedure, whether it's a simple checkup or a complex surgery. For California residents who value their pets' health, investing in specialized care from a clinic like Dog and Cat Dentist, Inc. is a decision that pays off in the form of a healthier, happier, and more comfortable life for their beloved companion.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My boy Rex in the picture had a major dental procedure done by Dr. Tsugawa 2 weeks ago at their Woodland Hills clinic. Dr. Tsugawa did a good job on Rex. I would recommend him to everyone who owns a cat/dog for any dental procedure needs. Thanks to Kristina who communicated very well with when trying to make an appointment including follow up calls on how Rex was doing. ♥️
June 15 · BOYET LUANSINGOver two weeks time I have left FIVE rather urgent voicemails for them bc no one ever answers their phones. Have yet to receive a call back. How can I possibly entrust my pet to this kind of indifference?
May 06 · Laura ShawDr. Tsugawa is amazing. He provided dental treatment for two of my Golden Retrievers and each time he was friendly, attentive and clearly highly knowledgeable and experienced. His background is amazing, beyond the 4 years of undergraduate study, 4 years of veterinary school, he has another 4 years of surgery and dental specialty training and is board certified in veterinary dentistry. I feel very fortunate to have found him for my two dogs.I can also say that I found his fees to be very reasonable. It cost a fortune and considerable time for him to acquire his expertise. His fees were a pleasant surprise. Two thumbs up all the way around.
February 10 · derek thieleThis place is a rip-off! If you want to pay for granite counter tops and fine upholstered chairs in the exam room, go here. If you want good care for your pet, go anywhere else.I was sent here by my regular vet because my dog had swelling around her mouth, and they thought x-rays might be a good idea. After I was given a $4,000 estimate to have my 10 -year-old dog's teeth pulled, I decided to get another opinion. The second vet gave me an over the phone ballpark estimate of less than $400 to have teeth pulled (also under anesthesia). By the time we got into the second opinion, the swelling was gone and the new vet said everything looked great. I can't believe this place wanted to put my dog under and charge $4,000 for something that wasn't even needed. This clinic also has oncology. While I was waiting for the pet dentist to see my dog, I heard through the walls a doctor consulting with a dog honor. They gave an $8,000 estimate for chemo to this distraught pet owner.I am aghast at these outrageous prices, and wonder just how many of their treatments are not even needed.
August 10 · Melody RossiTook a day off work, drove 60 miles roundtrip, paid $145. consultation fee to meet with the highly recommended Dr. Tsugawa. Ten days later I still have not received the estimate that was to be written up "in a few days". My pup is in dire need of dental help and I bet on him hearing he is the best. I should bill him for lost wages, gasoline, and $145 for MY time. Meanwhile my pup is still in need. 🥺
