Dog and Cat Imaging Center Introduce
When a beloved pet is unwell, getting an accurate diagnosis is the first and most critical step toward recovery. For pet owners in California, finding a facility with advanced diagnostic capabilities can make all the difference. Dog and Cat Imaging Center, located in Woodland Hills, is a leading-edge veterinary practice dedicated to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging services. Our mission is to work with your primary care veterinarian to get a clear picture of what's happening inside your pet, ensuring they receive the most effective and targeted treatment plan possible.
Led by Dr. Brian Norman, a board-certified specialist in small animal internal medicine, our center is equipped to handle complex cases that require a more in-depth evaluation. We understand the stress and uncertainty that come with an undiagnosed illness, and our team is committed to providing not only precise technical services but also compassionate and empathetic care. We believe that a pet's health journey should be a collaborative effort, and we take the time to communicate with both pet owners and their referring veterinarians to ensure everyone is on the same page.
Our specialization in advanced diagnostics, such as ultrasound, CT scans, and endoscopy, allows us to uncover conditions that might be missed with a standard physical exam or basic lab work. This focused approach means we can often provide answers when other vets have exhausted their diagnostic capabilities. We serve as a vital resource for veterinarians across the Los Angeles area who need to refer their patients for specialized imaging and expert interpretation. Our goal is to provide a service that is both quick and accurate, helping to move your pet from diagnosis to treatment with minimal delay.

Dog and Cat Imaging Center specializes exclusively in veterinary diagnostics and internal medicine. Our services are highly focused to provide the most accurate and insightful information possible.
- Veterinary Internal Medicine: Led by a board-certified specialist, our practice provides expert internal medicine consultations. We review your pet's medical history and current condition to develop a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plan.
- Ultrasound: We perform advanced ultrasonography of the abdomen and chest. This non-invasive imaging technique uses sound waves to create real-time images of internal organs and structures, helping to identify conditions like tumors, organ abnormalities, and other issues.
- CT (Computed Tomography) Scan: For a more detailed look at internal structures, we offer CT scans. This technology provides cross-sectional images that can reveal information about bones, organs, and soft tissues that are not visible with a standard X-ray.
- Endoscopy: Using a flexible videoscope, we can perform non-invasive endoscopic procedures to examine and obtain tissue samples from areas such as the stomach, intestines, nasal cavity, lungs, and urinary tract.
Our dedication to specialized care and patient comfort makes Dog and Cat Imaging Center a standout option for veterinary diagnostics.
- Specialist Expertise: The center is run by Dr. Brian Norman, a board-certified specialist in small animal internal medicine. His extensive training and experience ensure that your pet's case is in the hands of an expert.
- Advanced Technology: We are equipped with state-of-the-art imaging equipment, including an ultrasound machine and CT scanner. This technology allows for precise, high-resolution imaging that is crucial for an accurate diagnosis.
- Compassionate Approach: We are committed to a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. We understand that pets are family, and we work to make every visit as stress-free as possible, providing emotional support to both pets and their owners.
- Focus on Diagnostics: Unlike a general veterinary hospital, our specialization means we are entirely focused on providing the best possible diagnostic services, ensuring a high level of expertise in this critical field.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I cannot express enough how amazing Dr. Norman and his staff are. After being given 3 wrong diagnoses for my dog Einstein, I was referred to Dr. Norman to get an ultrasound and CT scan done. Not only did he take the time to come out and speak with me, he also calmed me down as I was embarrassingly crying in his office. He took incredible care of my dog, and we were able to finally get answers for what is going on with her. I highly, highly recommend Dog and Cat Imaging center to anyone who may find themselves in the difficult situation of needing imaging. He is without a doubt, the most compassionate and empathetic veterinarian I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. It’s going to be a long recovery for my sweet girl, but Dr. Norman and his team have really helped me feel like the world isn’t ending anymore. Thank you so, so much! I am beyond grateful for you.
December 28 · Kandace GregoryFantastic experience. Everybody was very friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this place. Unfortunately they are not open during the weekend. But was able to make an appointment fast. Affordable compared to other places. My dog was seen exactly at the time of the appointment. No wait at all. Place is clean and great. Thank you so much for all your help!!!
March 04 · noelia roselloDr. Norman and his staff are excellent. Dr. Norman is honest, fair, and truly seems like he cares about you and your pet. He walked me through the issues my cat was facing, the science behind it, treatment options and answered all my questions. He really helped me through a very stressful situation, and I highly recommend him.
January 16 · Jonas BoudreauI have been bringing all three of my dogs to calabassas dog and cat for years. Recently one if my dogs had a seizure event due to undiagnosed diabetes. Dr. Diaz insisted that I put my dog down. We were able to stabilize him, and I brought him to another vet who was able to identify that he is diabetic. He started gaining weight and stabilized. When I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Latos, he weighed him and confirmed that he had gained weight. Dr. Diaz walked into my appointment, kept saying that my dog hadn’t gained weight when dr. Latos weighed him several times and confirmed that he had. My dog is blind and she said he can’t even blink and then she stuck her finger in his eye and he blinked twice. She said if I didn’t put him down that she was going to report me for animal cruelty. My dog is with me 24/7, gets fed every three hours, gets cold laser therapy twice a week, gets massages and love, and have a strong spirit and is very affectionate, enjoys music. Since that visit my dog has continued to gain weight and improve. I give him sub cutaneous fluids at home, and when I called for a refill today the manager got on the phone to tell me that they will not refill the fluids they know he needs to maintain his health and wont refill his prescriptions or provide any further care to my animals. They are trying to kill my dog. I will never bring my animals here again. Beware! Dr. Diaz also had taken my dog off his seizure medication which led to him having a major seizure event. When I questioned her about taking him off it suddenly because everything you read about this drug says that you cannot stop it suddenly because doing so causes seizures, she said it was fine. She also said the half life of the drug, phenobarbital is only 6 hours, when in fact it stays in the body for days which dr. latos confirmed. If you love your pets, don’t go here. They threaten owners, are misinformed, misdiagnose, and are happy for your animals to die.
October 04 · Pheonix FlyerFar more affordable than Access/Thrive down the street. Quick and easy. Nice people, nice environment. No more than 10 minutes for an ultrasound. Easy peasy.
