Choosing a veterinary clinic for your pet is a deeply personal decision, and it's important to weigh all available information. The reviews for Alma School Animal Hospital present a mix of positive and negative experiences, which is not uncommon for any service-based business. One customer's glowing review highlights a positive relationship with the staff and praises their fair and proper treatment, while another client detailed a serious and difficult situation with a specific veterinarian, raising concerns about a missed diagnosis and professional conduct. It is crucial to note that every veterinarian is an individual, and professional conduct can be investigated by the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board. While this particular case is an example of a very negative experience, it is important to look at the hospital's overall mission and the experiences of many other clients who have had positive, long-term relationships with the clinic. The hospital has a BBB A+ rating, which suggests a commitment to customer service and resolving disputes. Their focus on preventative care, geriatric health, and dental work, including dental radiographs, shows a dedication to modern veterinary practices. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is great! I have been treated amazing every time I go there. Your pet will be treated by a very talented staff. It is not the newest or prettiest clinic, but that is because they want to treat you and your pet fairly and properly. Don't get me wrong, it is always clean and nice!I have started taking all my pets there and wish I would have started sooner.
February 10 · Dacquiri BarhitteDO NOT, I repeat DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. They have a 24 hour veterinary office advertised on their front desk, Eve animal hospital. That is where I initially took my elderly cat, because she had cyst on her cheek. The doctor there said she has an infected tooth, and that is what’s causing the cyst, and also why she won’t eat on her own. They recommended I take her to a “tooth specialist” down the street from them, and also gave her a weeks worth of antibiotics.I called the recommended place and they were booked for almost two months out.I found Alma School Animal hospital on google. I called and asked if they do tooth extractions, and the nice lady on the phone said they did. I booked an appointment to get a consultation.I took her in, and Hector took a look at her and took her back to examine her.Mind you, I told the lady at the front desk and Hector, EVE said she has an infected tooth. He said multiple times throughout the consult how “he hates to do tooth extractions on elderly cats.” He came back with my baby, and she said it was just a cyst, and didn’t see an infected tooth. He cut it open, and I continued the antibiotics. They charged me $80 for the visit and $200 for the cyst. A couple of days later, the cyst came back!it was on a Sunday when I noticed, and I called EVE and they said a vet just can’t find out if cats have an infected tooth with the naked eye. They had to do an x-ray to see if it was infected at the root.Hector, “a veterinarian” applied little to no of what he was taught at whatever school he attended, because he didn’t want to remove a tooth from my cat!! Now my cats need to live with the pain of having an infected tooth and her cyst. I have to feed her pate by HAND, because she can’t eat on her own. This process takes about 45 MINUTES!!! Twice a day!! Her eye is constantly tearing up, and I can tell she’s in pain. I HATE MYSELF for believing him. My cat means the world to me.So I took her to an other vet, and the vet there said she could clearly see she has an infected tooth, and we have an appointment to get her tooth removed.Hector charged me nearly $300 for a temporary solution because he was TOO AFRAID TO DO HIS JOB!Again, if you love your pet. Do yourself and your pet a favor and take your baby somewhere else. I can’t speak for all the vets there, but I have NO IDEA how Hector ever became a veterinarian.
April 13 · Roland BatesI have been taking my kitties to Alma School Animal Hospital for about 20 years. I have even adopted two cats from them. The veterinarians and technicians are kind, caring, and practical. I have never felt pressured into any treatments. The prices are also very resonable.
June 18 · CThis place gets it right. Needed a rabies shot for my lil guy and very apprehensive with him as we have received bad customer service elsewhere. But came here and wow, just wow. Great price, check in was seamless staff was welcoming and explained everything as we went along. They are true animal lovers here and will take great care of your fur baby. Thanks again ladies. We will be back.
June 21 · sunshine doesToo busy waited 30 minutes past my appointment. Then rushed in and rushed out. They worried more about a teeth cleaning than other issues my pet had. Won’t be going back again. Went here because it’s close but I’ll just go further to get better help next time.
