When considering what makes 4 Paws Animal Hospital a worthwhile choice, it is important to look at the full picture. The hospital offers a comprehensive suite of services that rivals many larger practices, with the added benefit of a compassionate, client-focused approach. Positive reviews from clients who have gone through emotionally taxing situations, such as a pet's passing, are a powerful testament to the staff's empathy and professionalism. This level of care is a critical factor for any pet owner.
However, it is also important to address all feedback. A negative review highlights a communication breakdown and a perceived lack of compassion from one veterinarian regarding a complex pet-care situation. While this experience is distressing for the client, it is important to note that it represents one individual's perspective and may not reflect the practice's overall standard of care. The hospital's ability to handle a wide range of medical needs, from routine care to surgical procedures, and its demonstrated compassion in other reviews, are strong indicators of its overall quality. For residents of New Jersey seeking a vet that is not only medically equipped but also deeply caring, 4 Paws Animal Hospital offers a compelling choice. Their combination of advanced services and a compassionate team makes them a reliable and trusted partner in your pet's life journey.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Unfortunately this week my best friend over the last decade got very ill with cancer and after fighting like a champ for almost a year and had to be put to sleep, Words can’t fully explain Dr Anna Orezo and staff were beyond sympathetic and thorough caring to me needs and Roxie’s. Thank you for making a horrible situation just a little more tolerable. I am grateful for there compassion.
June 20 · Yeshuj LiebmanI’m disappointed in this practice. My grandmother was dying from cancer and unable to care for her dogs, so I took them in.I brought Missy here. She is deaf, blind and incontinent. She also needed expensive eye surgery that was 2500+ dollars that I am unable to afford. I have two young children, work two jobs and am unable to keep up with the care she needed. After giving her up to a rescue since I was hesitant on euthanasia but believed it to be the only option left, Dr. Angela then writes in the description for the rescue that Missy was “covered in feces and debris”. She was not covered in feces and had accidents everyday. She was loved and to make it seem in your description further like she did not have a good life is incorrect. She was in pain, and I tried to relieve it through the medication provided by Dr. Weisenstein because I could not afford the cost of surgery. I gave her doggie diapers, but she would still have accidents in the house.I went to Dr. Weisenstein to initially evaluate her and spoke over the idea of euthanasia with him, which he was not opposed to. Rescue agencies were not recommended prior, and I thought this was my only option even after doing my own research. Why should I be shamed in this description by one of your vets? Why don't you teach her how to show compassion to your clients in addition to their animals?Dr. Angela obviously wanted to let others perceive her a certain way and had no compassion for our circumstances. The picture you painted is inaccurate. I will not be returning to this practice.
September 12 · Marissa CostelloMy puppy Luna who was lethargic & not eating or drinking anything. I took her to Red bank emergency over the weekend & they did nothing but run numerous tests & find nothing for almost 12 hrs. I took her home & called 4 Paws the next day. I was told I could bring her in that same day. When I took her in Dr. Polonet was amazing with her and really listened to all of my concerns. After antibiotics, fluids & a change in her diet Luna is thriving. I can't thank her enough for helping Luna get back to normal. I would recommend anyone to 4 Paws Animal Hospital. From the receptionists, to the tech & especially Dr. Polonet made it a wonderful experience.
August 01 · Ramona SantiagoEach visit to your clinic has been a testament to your dedication and professionalism. From the routine check-ups to their spaying and neutering surgeries, your attention to detail and compassionate approach have made all the difference.Your staff's responsiveness and willingness to answer every query have put my mind at ease during those first-time pet owner moments. It's reassuring to know that we are in such capable hands. The way you handle both routine care and more complex procedures with equal expertise and empathy is truly commendable.Thank you for being so attentive and for making each visit a stress-free experience for both my kittens and me. Your passion for animal care is evident in every interaction, and it's clear that each pet who walks through your doors is treated as part of the 4 Paws family.
May 03 · Joshua FertelThe doctors at Four Paws are beyond compassionate. Not only for the animals that walk through their doors but their human families as well. Dr. Weisenstein, my gratitude for your help through a difficult time with Zeke means more than I can put into words. With you, I always have someone by my side guiding me in the right direction and making the right decisions to keep him healthy. Through all the years that you have been our family vet, I’ve come to realize there are not many like you. I am forever grateful.
