★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have been with Abbott Valley Center since our dog Lulu, a Shipoo, came into our lives. The care and concern we have received have always been top-notch. As Lulu approaches 12 years old, her medical needs have increased, and Abbott has been an incredible support system for us. Recently, she injured her leg, and our conversation with Kathy was filled with support, care, and concern for Lulu. Abbott Valley Center is more than just a veterinary clinic; it feels like an extended family. Thank you for everything you do to care for our precious Lulu.
May 16 · Maria KishfyI waited 8 months before leaving this review, to insure it wasn't due to anger or shock. Our dog wasn't eating for a couple days. We already went to the emergency vet for testing. During the ultrasound, they found masses but blood tests didn't show cancer. We ended up taking her home and tried the anti nausea meds the vet gave us to get her to eat. After another day of her not eating , we called our regular vet, Abbott Valley. We left a message and got a call from Dr Fielding at the end of her day. She was very caring and helped us make the decision to putting Hazel down. I asked if I should make an appointment. She said they would take her anytime we were ready, and an appointment wasn't needed (no mention of meds needed) We decided to take her the next morning. That night my dog came at me and bit my lip off. I ended up spending the night in the ER. When we got home the next morning , my husband called the vet to let them know he was coming. My dog usually takes a " chill protocol" meds before her vet visits. They insisted, that my husband drive across town to pick up the meds to give to her prior to coming in.. My dog has not eaten in 3.5 days. She wasn't going to take these meds. They would not take her unless we tried the meds first. This was unacceptable. The visit to the vet was a horrible experience. Just a suggestion, if you're afraid the dog will bite, just ask the owner to put a muzzle on their dog. My husband was in shock and wasn't thinking about anything but me, and putting an end to our dogs suffering. I gave some stars for our experience over the years. They are very kind and helpful in other ways. However, we started to have issues getting an appointment when needed.
July 07 · Beth HDr. Fielding is the best vet we've ever had! Completely trust her with our dog's medical needs! The entire staff is very considerate, kind, and helpful. Thank you!
August 26 · Samantha CornellThis place is absolutely AWFUL! We have had one bad experience after another. We definitely gave them more than one chance, having been a client for 10 months. There is a miserable woman who runs the front desk that is extremely snotty, rude and shows zero compassion. She complains about dogs barking and other clients on the phone to other employees while the client is on hold. We had two separate instances where our pup needed to be seen for a wellness visit during office hours the day of and they could not accommodate. We were then forced to pay emergency vet fees at a different place. Had a horrible experience with someone completely inexperienced trying to give our puppy a vaccine. They didn't give her peanut butter (which they normally do and have done on their own accord since day one) to distract her. Her breed is also high energy. The needle pierced through our dog's skin and the vaccine shot up into the air and was all over the floor. They never even gave our pup a follow up visit after being spayed. Not once have they ever made us feel welcomed, comfortable or secure in our choice of veterinary services. We have moved on to a much better vet office/company who truly cares and shows compassion for all the animals they care for and their owners. Highly do not recommend this place.
May 23 · Anita WhalenAmazing people, extremely helpful and kind to me and my kitty. I will say the lady up front could use some training on how to talk to people though haha because reading these reviews I see I’m not the only one she was really rude to for no reason. Almost made me wanna turn around, seriously. But the vet and the tech made up for it very much.
