★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We love Bond vet and came here after going to AVG for a bit. Originally we came here bc they had appointments open when no one else did. We haven’t gone anywhere else since (4 years). We have 3 cats 🐈 one w chronic illness (pancreatitis) that we finally figured out w Dr Zhu’s help. We always get appts when we need them, get amazing care, they are always patient in answering our Qs. Jeffrey, Dr Zhu, and Dr Simmons are all truly amazing. ❤️❤️❤️
May 06 · Allie YangIt was like the vet had never seen a cat before. I told the vet my cat was a bit anxious and bitey and they told me I should’ve given my cat a sedative (which cost $60) beforehand. Mind you, this was my first time at this vet. They proceeded with the most extreme precautions of holding my cat with a blanket and wearing gloves when my cat hadn’t even tried to bite them. They tried to get me to come back to do a “proper exam” with my cat sedated when that was the purpose of this visit. Don’t recommend to cat owners, they won’t see a cat without an extra $60 sedative. Didn’t eat check my cat’s teeth or body properly. Also exam was $120, when I didn’t even get an exam.
August 15 · Kiki KLWe can not speak more highly of the vet experience that was had at BondVet in Astoria. On a busy Sunday morning, we brought our dog there with a laceration and no prior appointment made. They were able to assess and treat our dog within 30 minutes. Richard was an amazing nurse and beyond helpful! Would recommend them to anyone.
July 13 · Amanda SwansonThis is such a great vet office! I came here with my friend to bring her cat in for his first check up since she adopted him last year. He was nervous on the way there but he calmed down as soon as we got to the office and the doctors were so kind and sweet with him. The girl at the front desk was really great too! Really great vet office!
June 06 · CourtneyI’ve had my dog for 5 years and I have never seen him as stressed and fearful as in the hands of the employees as Bond Vet. The staff told me it was my fault for not sedating him before bringing him in… Later, I took him to another vet in the neighborhood with wonderful bedside manner and he did great (without being sedated!)Bond Vet also has dishonest billing practices. They tried to charge me for services and lab work they hadn’t performed. I was astonished by the cost so I ask for an itemized bill. When I questioned each of the non-obvious line items, they said things like “well if you pay today you can come back and get this done and there won’t be a charge at that time!”. There was even a charge for urine testing, which baffled me because they did not have a urine sample from my dog, and the doctor had not discussed with me what they would be looking for in a urine test / why it was medically necessary. Ultimately they did remove the irrelevant line items, but that was certainly not the path of least resistance. The whole thing felt really shady. I’m glad I trusted my gut and took my dog to another vet in the neighborhood where he’s been receiving excellent, compassionate care (with transparent billing, too!)
