★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Dana and staff are the best! Hands down the friendliest most comforting staff around! They are always super welcoming and accommodating. Dr. Dana has gone above and beyond for us during difficult times with our dogs. Cant thank the entire staff enough!
July 03 · KeepinitreelfishingchartersThis location has had a Veterinarian there for decades, and theBuzzards Bay Veterinary Associates continues the history with caring dedication and top notch service. When I took Bailey, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, after my Uncle Joe passed last August up in NH, I knew I'd have to set her up with a Vet here. There was no great rush, since she had just had her Annual Exam up there in July; but I wanted to make sure she was set to get care here, in case anything came up before her next Annual Exam was due. So one day I went there and explained things to the gal at the desk, and she was very understanding and had me fill out paperwork to make Bailey one of the clients. Bailey's existing Vet had sent me all of their files in a PDF, so I simply emailed that to BBVA and we were all set!Since this was all new to Bailey, I asked if it would be possible to come and visit every month, to get her used to the place and staff, and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Since she had been a rescue dog when Uncle Joe got her, I immediately noticed on our first visit that she was VERY anxious and did not want to be there at all; but continued visits over the coming months calmed her down a bit and she did start to recognize the staff as we continued to visit. We had our Annual Exam appointment with Dr. Dana last week and it went very well. The staff was very calming and caring, and even though she was anxious, everything was completed, including blood work, without undue stress or any issues. Bailey was both happy to leave, and even happier to get back home; but I'm sure our next visit will be a little less stressful for her, and that she'll remember the staff and how well they treated her.BBVA is conveniently located on Main Street in Buzzards Bay, the staff is great, the treatment is top notch, and the services are reasonably priced, in this day and age. Highly Recommended.
July 07 · Mike GratisI have brought my cat here two times and I am very impressed with their business. They were very nice and helpful. My cat had an ear infection this past time and they did a very thorough job of cleaning her ears and I was very appreciative of that. They showed me how to put the ear drops in and I am happy to say my kitty is herself again and that is the greatest gift of all.
August 18 · J rMy son and I visited the Buzzards Bay veterinary yesterday and am so grateful to Dr. Dana and vet tech Hannah. My 40 year old son who suffers from severe mental illness has a seven year old 90 pound black lab who is his entire world. The dog had an ear infection and an infected sore on his face. Both Hannah and Dr. Dana each spent over a half hour with my son and I explaining everything they needed to do to help the dog, making sure my son was comfortable. When it was time to bring the dog into the procedure room, they could see that my son was getting anxious and asked him to help them walk him to the room and offered to let him stay if he wanted. The dog was given excellent care and my son left there feeling so proud as both ladies were so complementary of how well my son is taking care of his dog. By the time we left, an hour and a half had passed. We were never rushed or made to feel anything other than well cared for. Thank you ladies for your professionalism and compassion.
July 24 · Sally WeaverEditing to add: Dr Dana Anholzer is amazing too!! She’s a super sweet woman, we love her! They knew who we were when we walked in (even though we were new), my dogs’ names were on the door(cute), we went right into the exam room, the techs were very nice and I didn’t feel rushed when asking questions or giving history on our dogs, Dr Higgins was very nice and informative. We had to reschedule our dog’s neuter and they were very accommodating. They take Care Credit! Most importantly, our normally shy dogs that can take a minute to warm up, loved the techs and the vet! Thank you! :)
