Deer Park Animal Hospital Introduce

Deer Park Animal Hospital is more than just a clinic; it's a local institution with a legacy of dedicated care spanning several decades. As a full-service animal hospital and veterinarian, it provides a comprehensive range of services designed to support the health and happiness of pets at every stage of their lives. This article will provide a detailed look into what makes Deer Park Animal Hospital a cherished choice for New Yorkers, from its long-standing history to the compassionate team that makes every visit a positive experience.
The deep-rooted trust that the community places in Deer Park Animal Hospital is evidenced by the incredible loyalty of its clients. One customer's review speaks volumes, mentioning a relationship with the hospital that has spanned an astonishing 50 years and multiple generations of veterinarians, from Dr. Henry to Dr. Myer, Dr. Rosen, and now Dr. Chen. This kind of multi-generational loyalty is a rare testament to consistent, high-quality care. It's clear that the hospital isn't just a place for a quick check-up; it's a long-term partner in a pet's health journey. The fact that a 13.5-year-old German Shepherd's tail was wagging during a visit with Dr. Chen highlights the gentle and effective approach the staff takes with their patients.
The transition of care from one beloved veterinarian, like the retired Dr. Rosen, to a new one, like Dr. Chen, is a critical moment for any practice. The fact that long-time clients have seamlessly made this transition and continue to entrust their pets to the hospital, including multiple dogs of varying breeds, speaks volumes about the consistency and excellence of the entire team. A client’s review mentioning their 16-year-old Morkie and their 8-year-old Cane Corsos being treated with kindness and care by both the doctors and the "amazing" front desk staff underscores the hospital's ability to cater to a diverse clientele and their pets' unique needs.

The staff are great 👍, My German Shepherd is now 13 1/2 and I just took her to see Dr Chen he was wonderful with her, tail wagging through out the visit. 😊😊👍
March 21 · Diane PiagentiniDr. Chen and the staff are always kind and caring to my girls. My girls love going there. I been using Deer Park Animal Hospital for a long time. My Coco and all my dogs started with Dr. Rosen who we loved now retired. Coco is a 6lb Morkie at the age of 16yrs and now see’s Dr. Chen ❤️ Porsha and Mercedes as well are now 8yr old Cane Corso’s. We love the entire front Desk staff ♥️ such an amazing Animal Hospital.
February 14 · Yolanda MonserratDr Chen was excellent with my Rottweiler. We met outside which was perfect as my dog can be a little difficult to handle around other dogs and I was concerned about an infection. I’ve only met 2 doctors so far but both were great. I appreciate the excellent bedside manner. Very competent and knowledgeable as well. Thank you
September 16 · Tracy Clarke-LeconteI am very grateful to the doctor who was very kind and loving with Snoopy, my dog, who had an ear infection. Thanks to her attention, Snoopy was able to sleep peacefully without pain or excessive itching... all the staff at the front desk were very kind.
January 18 · Angie Barcenashow this place has 4.7 stars is completely ridiculous. my friend and i brought a stray cat that had been wandering on the side of the road, LIMPING and very obviously injured. we gave them a call to see if they can at least check it out before bringing it to the hospital or if they can have someone evacuate it to the hospital. they denied us at first and told us to go straight to the animal hospital in islip. we were going to go to the animal hospital there, but we thought to stop by and hopefully see if they can help us. after all, they call themselves a hospital, so let’s give it a shot.the second i went inside with the cat, I told them that I was the one who called about the cat and they said “yeah we were trying to call you back to let you know we can’t take care of it”. “we don’t have the proper machines”you. are. a. “hospital”.i had a blood stained cat in a bag in my arms. i have never done this before, so I was furious with that response she gave back. clean it up, check for something, anything?? there were 3 girls at the front desk and they were all completely and utterly useless. it was until after my friend begged them to check out the cat, they came back with a machine to check it out for a microchip. nothing came back up. i was feeling so upset the whole time and couldn’t control my emotions so i stepped outside.inside, the nurses told my friend that we would have to pay $130 just because we brought in an animal. you know what? okay that’s fine i would have paid it either way, but tell me why when she asked the doctor how much it would be, the doctor said it’s no cost?? the doctor was incredibly understanding and kind and we really appreciated they came out even while in an appointment with another animal. i’m telling you, these nurses only care about getting money from their customers.unfortunately the cat had to be put down, which was not the outcome we had in mind. but hey! thanks for taking your sweet time and staring at each others faces like a deer in the headlights!do not call yourselves a goddamn hospital if you do not have the machines. genuinely these nurses or whoever those ladies in the gray scrubs were should have their license revoked. living from paycheck to paycheck and not actually showing any care.
