★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My dog is turning 12 this November and I've been bringing her to Holistic Animal Wellness since she was about 6 yrs old. Dr. Cianelli's personalized approach and compassion are unmatched. When the only solution our allopathic (regular) vet had was to put my dog on antibiotics long term at only 2 years old, I knew there had to be a better way. Holistic treatments may take a bit longer to notice, but that's because you're truly getting to the root of the problem, not just symptom suppression, and most likely, that problem didn't occur overnight, so patience is key! What I truly love about Dr. Cianelli is that, while she advocates for holistic approaches whenever possible, she recognizes the necessity of both Eastern and Western medical practices, and that fusion of approaches is huge. More than that, my dog is calm and has nothing but tail wags for Dr. Cianelli when taking her in for her monthly acupuncture!
August 20 · Jaclyn AdamsDr. Cianelli is an amazing vet. Never in my life have I had a vet sit down with me for over an hour and a half and discuss every aspect of my dog’s health, history, diet, and routine. But that’s what Dr. Cianelli did with us at our first appointment. There was no rush whatsoever. We sat in her office (which is more like a cozy living room) and we talked at length about my 9-year-old dog, Sylvie. She took the time to read every ingredient of everything I was giving her. She explained everything in ways that made sense to me and offered pragmatic solutions to get Sylvie on the path to better health. Dr. Cianelli is easygoing and considerate, and I immediately felt comfortable talking openly with her.She put together a comprehensive treatment plan for my dog and emailed it to me later that day. It included links and instructions for new food recipes (with resources for the best quality ingredients), organ meat treats, natural chews for her teeth, an exercise regimen, and appropriate probiotics and supplements for her condition. She also referred me to a new regular vet for blood work, an echocardiogram, and dental work. (I asked her for a referral because I didn’t like our previous vet.)It is obvious that Dr. Cianelli has a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of the body, and how it is affected by practically everything. I am a strong believer in treating and preventing illness with diet, natural remedies, and lifestyle changes before resorting to drugs, so finding a vet who understands this approach (much better than I do!) is absolutely wonderful. I was so happy and excited after my appointment with her. I’m so glad I found her! I live about half an hour away but she is definitely worth the drive (it’s a beautiful drive anyway!).Dr. Cianelli gave me so much valuable information already. I feel like what she gave me is worth far more than the price of the consultation visit!
February 19 · Annie HenryDr Cianelli is amazing. She's changed my dogs life and mine. She's extremely knowledgeable and my dog is healthier than he's ever been. He's a 10 years old boxer with Cushings and MCT and acts like a puppy again. I can't thank Dr Cianelli enough.
November 21 · Heather YoungDr. Cianelli has been very helpful in caring for my senior dog. While her treatment had its limits and her recommendations were costly, they did enhance his quality of life, and for that I am grateful. However, I am extremely disappointed in her decision to charge the full appointment fee when I inadvertently missed a visit. In over six months of regular care, I never once missed or canceled an appointment. When I requested an exception based on my record and circumstances, I was refused, with the only explanation being that automated reminders are provided. This policy may be within her rights, but it does not reflect the flexibility, understanding, or goodwill I would expect from a veterinary professional who has seen my consistent commitment to my pet’s care.RESPONSE: Doc, the reminders are not at issues here as I do not deny that I clearly missed the appointment. What is at issue is customer loyalty and the "mutual respect" you reference. I was kept waiting for appointments several times, up to 10 minutes per appointment. I too was inconvenienced. However, as a customer I am not there with a time log tracking my missed minutes then billing you the difference. You are paid for services provided. If there was no service there should be no payment. I simply asked for a courtesy and would have been happy to pay half of the appointment fee as a mea culpa. However you clearly did not want to discuss it. Customers do not need to be scolded like children who got their allowance taken away for not doing their chores. But as you say, you have other clients who need your services and I have other veterinarians that will provide care. Let's just leave it at that.
August 20 · Jesse CrifasiYou’ll never want a different vet after visiting Dr. Cianelli who is an angel.I’m incredibly grateful for the care my dog has received from Dr. Cianelli. When we first brought him in, he was in terrible shape. He had lost weight rapidly, going from 120 lbs. to just 60 lbs., and was severely dehydrated, needing weekly IV infusions. After many visits and expenses with our regular veterinarian, we were advised to consider euthanasia, as they had exhausted all options. It became clear that this situation was beyond their expertise, but they didn’t communicate this until much time had passed, during which I spent a lot of money with no improvement. Watching him struggle was one of my worst nightmares.Feeling lost and without support, I was recommended to Dr. Cianelli by a friend. She received glowing reviews, so I booked an appointment, hoping for a miracle or at least a better quality of life for my dog.Our first visit was the most compassionate and comforting vet experience we’ve had. Dr. Cianelli and her staff create a warm, safe environment that puts both my dog and me at ease. We discussed my dog’s condition in detail after I filled out a thorough online form. Dr. Cianelli asked questions no other vet had, showing genuine care.We decided to try acupuncture and some time on the PEMF mat while discussing his history and treatment options. She kept me informed every step of the way, explaining her plans and how we could work toward a better future for my dog. By the end of the appointment, she had developed a tailored treatment plan based on her expertise. In less than a week, my dog made a remarkable recovery. Just a day later, he was running up and down the stairs with renewed energy and joy. I never thought I’d see my best friend healthy again, but there he was, full of life and spirit. He no longer needed IV infusions and was drinking water again, overcoming anemia and regaining his thick, healthy coat. Our car hating boy even jumps excitedly into the car to see her!Dr. Cianelli is the right choice for you and your pet. When others had given up on my beautiful boy, she stepped in and made a difference. Thanks to her dedication, our dog is not only alive but thriving. He’s back to jumping on the couch and bed, something we thought he’d never do again. I count Dr. Cianelli among my greatest blessings. Her endless knowledge and genuine care make her a true gem in veterinary medicine. I truly believe that without her intervention, we would have had to say goodbye too soon.Thank you, Dr. Cianelli!!! :-)
