I am so very grateful to Dr. Rose and the team at Serenity Holistic Vet. Our girl, Nikka, is a 12 year old Husky/Shepherd mix and she recently developed some hind leg soreness/stiffness and urinary incontinence. We took her to a conventional vet to rule out UTI/kidney issues and had X rays done to ensure there was nothing grossly abnormal structurally with her bones. Everything checked out and I knew I didn't want to start her on a medication with significant side effects or have her on pain meds indefinitely, so I searched for holistic vets who did acupuncture and was so happy to see Dr. Rose was local to us!.On our first visit, Dr. Rose did a thorough exam of Nikka and informed us that Nikka had an unusual heart murmur. A different vet at a conventional clinic that had seen Nikka just a few weeks earlier also mentioned the heart murmur but said it was very mild/quiet and didn't seem concerned about it all and didn't give us any indication that it needed to be investigated. I thought that the murmur must be no big deal based on how the first vet handled the finding. Dr. Rose immediately told us that Nikka's heart murmur was quite pronounced and unusual sounding and she gave us a lot of info and recommendations on next steps..Well, today we took Nikka to a cardiologist where she had an ECHO and it turns out she has dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), which, thankfully, has been caught early and might be able to be improved with medication and dietary changes..Dr. Rose literally saved Nikka's life with her attention to detail, her excellent clinical skills, and her prompt and informative follow up and recommendations. I will be eternally and forever grateful to her competence and expertise..Nikka has also had 2 sessions of acupuncture and cold laser/photobiomodulation and she definitely has more pep in her step. Nikka also loves coming to Serenity Holistic Vet, she isn't anxious or nervous and just settles right down and relaxes when the acupuncture needles are in. Dr. Rose is a gem and we are so lucky to have her here in Murrieta. - Tanya DePorto

Serenity Holistic Vet Introduce

For pet owners in the California region, the health of our animal companions is an endless source of joy and, at times, concern. When seeking veterinary care, many are now looking for a practice that offers more than just conventional medicine. Serenity Holistic Vet, located in Murrieta, California, provides a unique and valuable approach to pet health by integrating traditional Western veterinary medicine with a wide range of holistic therapies. This article delves into what makes this clinic a remarkable choice for those seeking a more comprehensive and personalized treatment plan for their pets, from its convenient location to its specialized services and compassionate philosophy.

The philosophy behind Serenity Holistic Vet is rooted in the belief that an animal's well-being is a complex interplay of physical, emotional, and environmental factors. Led by Dr. Rose, the clinic offers a full spectrum of holistic and integrative medicine, focusing on providing a "fear-free" and serene environment. This approach is not about replacing conventional medicine but rather about complementing it to achieve the best possible outcomes for each individual pet. The clinic specializes in treating chronic conditions, managing pain, and providing exceptional end-of-life care, all with a gentle and patient-centered approach. For many pet owners, this integrated model offers hope and improved quality of life for their beloved companions, especially when conventional options have been exhausted.

The impact of Serenity Holistic Vet's care is powerfully illustrated in the testimonials from grateful clients. One client shared a story about their 12-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix, Nikka, who was struggling with stiffness and incontinence. After a conventional vet visit, they were told there were no major structural issues, but a minor heart murmur was noted without concern. On their first visit to Serenity Holistic Vet, Dr. Rose's attention to detail led her to identify a "pronounced and unusual sounding" heart murmur. Her prompt recommendation for further investigation led to a cardiologist's diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) which was caught early. The client credits Dr. Rose with "literally saving Nikka's life" through her clinical skills and attention to detail. This story perfectly encapsulates the value of a holistic approach that considers the whole animal, not just the presenting symptoms.

Another testament to the clinic’s success comes from a client who brought their 15.5-year-old dog, Oreo, after being told by another vet that there were "no more options" for her IVDD and arthritis. After just one treatment of acupuncture and laser therapy with Dr. Rose, Oreo showed significant improvement, returning to her youthful, energetic self. The client's review, filled with happiness and gratitude, praises Dr. Rose as "a miracle worker and a hero for the dogs under her care." These stories of dramatic improvement and life-saving diagnosis demonstrate not only the effectiveness of the treatments offered but also the deep compassion and expertise of Dr. Rose and her team.
