★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you want a great veterinarian that specializes in a holistic approach to treating your pet, mine is a canine, call Dr. Jenna at Smith Ridge Veterinary Center. Our dog has received treatments for immune system deficiency and stem cell treatments for arthritis. We have been a client for eight years.
March 10 · Chris SalibelloYou took great care of Vinnie as well as many of my other 13 pets. I love you guys so much and am so appreciative of your expertise and kindness. I feel safe in your hands.
February 19 · Nick PetroneWe just started bringing our nine year old pembroke welsh corgi, Barclay there for holistic treatments and integrative medicine at the recommendation of some close friends. I wish I had learned of this veterinary practice sooner! We plan to start bringing our 10 year old Bengal Tiger/Maine Coone cat mix, Orin here too. It is located in Westchester and we live in Manhattan, but it is worth the long drive. Last week we first came to them at a very critical point in our pup's health. They were very instrumental and most effective at stabilizing Barclay with vitamin c intravenous fluid drips, ozone therapy, acupuncture, herbal shots and supplements. I must give Dr Jenna Lenarz credit for mitigating a precarious prognosis that was given to us by an emergency animal hospital in NYC. Dr Jenna is knowledgeable as she is compassionate, and we just adore her! Dr Rushkin is also wonderful. While Dr Rushkin wasn’t our attending physician she made it a point to check in with us and offer advice and support for Barclay. Smith Ridge Veterinary Center is a treasure and a Godsend. The doctors, technicians and staff have such a wonderful rapport with the animals. Unlike some veterinary practices, they do NOT rush through appointments at all. Quality time is spent gaining the trust of the animals, evaluating records & animal health and vitality, and answering your questions... To my surprise, Barclay did not need to be muzzled while getting catheters installed, temperature checks via hind quarters etc and other uncomfortable procedures. Dr. Jenna, and the wonderful team of technicians talk to Barclay and communicate with him throughout every procedure thus allowing him to gain their trust and also feel dignified. In return, he is amicable and cooperative. I also do not have to fight to get Barclay through the door whenever we come here. He enters willingly and he is also very happy to do some shopping for treats in their little “general store” while I check him in at the front desk.
May 26 · christine MonterossoIt has taken me 3 months to write this review as I still am at a loss.I took my cat to Dr. Jenna for a consult as she has a vaccine site sarcoma on her leg in May 2024. A previous one had been removed in February by Newtown Vet Specialists. I discussed all treatment and surgical options with Dr, Jenna and she said the cats best option was amputation of the leg. My cat was running and playing despite the tumor. We scheduled the surgery for June 5th and after the procedure Dr. Jenna said she was doing well and I could pick her up. Upon arriving, my cat seemed normal but as I approached my car it was clear she was having trouble breathing. I went back in to the hospital and was told Dr, Jenna and the Surgeon who performed the amputation had left for the day. Dr, Seo worked on my cat for 2 hours, she was put on oxygen and warming pads as her temperature was dropping. We were told to bring her to the 24 hour hospital in Norwalk and she might need a transfusion. I drove her there where she later died of cardiac arrest barely a half hour later. I was and still am in shock, as this cat has no cardiac issues. I spoke with Dr, Jenna the next day and she was very sympathetic and kind, even refunding some of my charges but could give me no explanation as to what happened. How could she when she did not perform the surgery? They used Dr. John L. Parks of Vet. Surgical Services, Madison CT according to the surgical report I received. So I would like to know if this man has a shred of decency or a soul. I have not had one email, call or anything in the way of communication from him since he cut my cats leg off and she died hours later. But I assure you he was paid for his services. What kind of a person does not even reach out to a patient? I have NO explanation of what happened and probably never will. But if anyone has any insight it should be the surgeon. I know many things can happen post op for people or animals but I have no closure on this and am left heart broken. Make your own choices for you pet, but my cat was joyful, running and playing up to the surgery and now I am trying to make some sense of what happened.God bless Dr. Seo for his kindness and attempts to save my cats life.
August 25 · victoria petruzielloIncredible practice with alternative modalities. Dr. Seo is one of the most amazing veterinary doctor's I have ever encountered. The love he has for animals is apparent in his care. My Margo who was 12.5 was diagnosed with lymphoma.. She went through the traditional route of chemo at another practice that left her in the hospital for 5 days. I moved Margo to Smith Ridge and Dr. Seo from a recommendation I received. Through his care Margo we were able to have more time with her and truly enjoy each and every day as a gift. Sadly, it was time to say goodbye and let her rest. It was a day that Dr. Seo is off from working on that day, but he came in to care for Margo and help her transition over the rainbow bridge with me. This is a testament to the love he has for his animal patients. Thank you to Dr. Seo, you are one-of -a kind human. Thank you also to the rest of the team for your empathy and support during one of the most difficult days in my life. I know one day another dog will come into our lives and Smith Ridge will be our new Vet home forever.
