This integrated approach can provide significant peace of mind, knowing that your pet is in the hands of a team that can address all of its needs under one roof.
The center’s commitment to providing a broad spectrum of care is evident in its ability to handle both everyday needs and more complex health issues. From managing chronic conditions to performing urgent surgical interventions, the veterinary team is equipped to provide compassionate and professional treatment. Simultaneously, the boarding and daycare services offer a safe and engaging environment for pets when their owners are away. The grooming services not only help pets look their best but also contribute to their overall health by addressing issues like matted fur, dirty ears, or overgrown nails. By offering this trifecta of services, Snowflake Pet Center positions itself as a central hub for pet care, reducing the need for pet owners to travel to multiple locations for different services. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I boarded my dog, Rosie, here over Christmas for 3 days because it was close to my in-laws’ house and the price seemed reasonable. Normally, I use Red Dog Resort and Spa in Boston (which I highly recommend), but this time we decided to try this place—thinking, “what could go wrong?” Unfortunately, it turned out to be a big mistake, and I regret ever bringing Rosie here.1. Food & Weight LossI always pre-measure Rosie’s meals into individual breakfast and dinner bags, with extra bags included just in case. When I picked her up, she had lost a noticeable amount of weight. Rosie is a lean 70lb German Shorthaired Pointer, so any weight loss is obvious. Shockingly, all of the “extra” food bags were gone, yet she clearly wasn’t eating enough to maintain her weight. Where did all that food go?2. InjuriesRosie had two cuts on her snout/around her mouth when I picked her up. They were raw and painful-looking. It was clear no one had paid attention to her condition during her stay.3. Emotional StressBack at her regular boarding facility in Boston, the staff noticed Rosie was unusually nervous and even peed when a caretaker entered the room. This has never happened before. Rosie normally loves daycare and overnight stays. Their team worked to rebuild her comfort, but it was obvious that something about her time at Snowflake left her fearful.4. Staff InteractionThe front desk woman was kind and helpful, but the man working there when I picked Rosie up was rude, impatient, and gave the impression he didn’t even like dogs. He said nothing to me, rushed me while I put Rosie’s harness on, and showed no care at all.I rarely write reviews—only when I’ve had an exceptionally good or bad experience. Sadly, this was one of the worst. Rosie came home physically hurt, emotionally stressed, and underfed. For those reasons, I cannot recommend leaving your dog here.
September 05 · Michael ReganWe have used Snowflake the last few year to board our 3 dogs. Last week after dropping off we got a call email and text that there was an issue with one of our dogs. Her face looked swollen. They examined her and she had an abscess on her tooth. They provided her with emergency care to removed it, gave antibiotics and they even reached out to our home vet while we were traveling. They took such great care, we are thankful their observant staff caught this, and we highly recommended Snowflake. 🐾
August 11 · Jennifer HansWe use the Suite for our 3 German Shepherds and are very happy with it! The staff is familiar with & comfortable with large dogs and it shows. I have no worries about their care when we travel. Highly recommend!
March 05 · Lesley CreaturaTaking my baby here was the best decision ever!!! They did wonderful with me and her. Gave me the knowledge I needed for my new puppy. Was so patient answeing my questions. They even fixed the car seat for me...lol The staff is so awesome!!!
August 17 · April Cutler-WilliamsNegligence, gaslighting and failure to take accountability of their actions in all aspects. Whatever you do, do NOT take your pet here to be treated in any form. We had to BEG the surgeon to wrap our dogs tail after she was brought out to us with an unbandaged tail after a tail amputation surgery. She was bleeding all over the floor and walls of the vet once she was brought out to us. The surgeon told us “you can just bandage it in the car” as blood was spewing everywhere. When she was brought out to us, she was also COVERED in FECES. How is this an acceptable standard for a veterinary facility? Along with this, the stitch work was horrific. Then we come to realize the e-collar they gave her was too small, and she had access to her surgical site post-op, putting our dog at greater risk We immediately had to go to Petco to get an effective E-Collar. Just add it to the list of issues we came across.Complete disregard in all forms, and as the parents we were treated with nothing but disrespect and disregard from both the surgeon, and ESPECIALLY the owners of this facility. When speaking to the owners of the facility, they disregarded all of our concerns and issues, and took ZERO accountability. None. They do not care about your pet. They do not care about you. They have zero empathy or compassion, and need to be held accountable for their actions.
