★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Recently my dog was having issues making a bowel movement. And had issues for a few days. We called to request to be seen as soon as possible because we were now becoming concerned and wanted to take the next steps. They had no availability for over a week. Almost 9 days to be exact. This happened early last week. By Monday my dogs health started to decline. We had an appointment Tuesday but felt she really needed to be seen. Called about 10 times and was only met with constant ringing and a voice recorded prompt to continue to hold. Luckily piper emergency vet was able to see her as soon as i was able to get her there. Unfortunately she did end up passing. But i truly feel if Southington vet took our initial concerns serious my dog may still be alive. This also is not the first bad experience I’ve had here I’ve also have had issues with nail cutting services. Where my other dog came back to me with multiple quicks bleeding. And he is now very weary of getting his nails clipped now.Use them at your own risk. And no one will convince me to change my mind
August 20 · Haley Mcclure2 weeks ago I brought my Ernie to this vet, They cleared him as being healthy with nothing at all wrong with him. They did blood work etc. That night he was sneezing up blood so I called the vet and told thm this, one of the girls that works there called me back and said the doctor said to bring him to a emergency vet. This was 10 am. So I asked if I could try an antibiotic They said ok, I mean who's the doctor here!!! 2 days later I go to give him the antibiotic his mouth is filled with blood!!! I called lap of love they came and had to put him to sleep!!! This was my boy rescued as a baby!! Beautiful! I'm still not over this it's killing me!! How could the doctor say there is nothing wrong with him 4 days later he's dead!!!! My Ernie!! If I don't get my money back I'm taking Southington veterinarian to court!
May 17 · cheryl vissicchioWorst Vet I have been to. My dog has had an ear infection for 7+ months (it's still ongoing), they kept prescribing different medications instead of doing a culture to find what medications the bacteria was resistant to. After months my dog had so much scar tissue in her ear, she will have issues and trouble hearing for the rest of her life. They clearly didn't look at notes based on my conversations with the tech and seemed to have misdiagnosed the type of infection after multiple visits (I can assume this based on the things the tech said, the doctor was more careful with their words saying a new bacteria was introduced right after I left). When the manager called me to discuss why I was upset they also had not read the history to know this issue had been gone on for months which shows me how poorly this office approaches issues making them unable to provide proper care to both pets and pet owners. I share the opinion of other comments I have read, if you love your pets take them elsewhere. This Veterinary office will lead you on appointment after appointment until you feel like you have been scammed at the expense of you and your pet's well-being.
April 01 · Jake MorrissonWe have received nothing but exceptional care from the veterinarians at SVA. The front desk staff is always kind, courtesy, and quick to respond to a message. I have one kitty with severe allergies (to what feels like everything), one with thyroid problems, and, now, one with asthma. I'm thankful for the care they receive at SVA.
June 24 · Betsy MintzLoving loyal and caring.I read some of the other reviews. I find when one presents a problem they had, a potential solution is more appropriate then just ambushing the entire establishment. I can't figure out how to respond to those who shared their experiences, but if the experience was that bad, why not confront them. Reading some of these reviews are just hateful..not constructive. I have no right to censor because this is freedom of speech..I'm just suggesting. But WOW if any of that is reality based. Bill at the front desk is the absolute best. Bill is genuine..honest..caring and considerate. I feel relief and confident knowing he is advocating for the best patient care possible!
