★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Losing a pet is one of the hardest things I’ve had to go through, but Dr. Bonnie somehow made it even more unbearable. The complete lack of bedside manner was inescapable as Dr. Bonnie proceeded to make jokes about the situation, and how she “gets a kick” out of the different reactions dogs have to anesthesia, despite my sobs and pleas as I held my dying dog. After Dr. Bonnie entered my home, she immediately gave my dog an injection of anesthesia without any warning. We didn’t even have time to sneak her a quick piece of chocolate or ask what the process was going to look like.Soon, my dog was sleeping peacefully from the anesthesia and instead of calmly proceeding with the euthanasia, Dr. Bonnie decided to move my dog over to get her in a more convenient spot, and in turn, my dog woke up in complete terror. Dr. Bonnie then let my dog stay in a confused, panicked state, looking around silently begging for someone to help her for what felt like the longest 10 minutes of my life, while Dr. Bonnie continued her jokes and endless one-sided chatter, telling me my dog is probably going to “retch”. Dr. Bonnie finally stepped in after watching me, my family, and my dog suffer, and gave her the IV to put her to rest. Of course she only stepped in after I begged and sobbed asking her to do something because I couldn’t watch anymore. My poor dog should’ve been met with calm mannerisms and peaceful loving as she passed, but instead was met with loud, inappropriate chatter and complete chaos.Once she had passed, I tried to get some paw and nose print impressions, while trying to keep my dog’s dignity. I tried bringing the ink pad to my dog’s nose, while not disturbing her, but Dr. Bonnie was pressuring us to putting the paper on the ground and pick up the dogs head to physically push her limp head into the paper. How incredibly horrifying. We then carried her out to Dr. Bonnie’s van, just to have to put her in the trunk on top of a bunch of items she left in there. A flat surface or maybe a blanket would’ve been nice. Bare minimum even?I am incredibly horrified by the number of positive reviews for Dr. Bonnie and cannot fathom the lack of compassion and gentle care that we received during this devastating time. What we thought was going to be a sad yet peaceful and dignified goodbye became a complete nightmare that I will never forget. I anticipated the sadness and longing that follows this situation, but could never have predicted the sheer terror that I feel every single time a memory of that moment pops into my head. We chose in-home euthanasia to prevent any suffering for my dog and to allow a comfortable environment for her, as well as my family, to say goodbye. Instead, we will all suffer with this memory for the rest of our lives. I will never forgive myself for letting Dr. Bonnie be responsible for my dog’s care.
September 06 · Cassandra LevesqueREAD BEFORE HIRING. Bonnie was hired on 7-31-25 to put our dog to rest in our home. After being 10 minutes late we started to call and got no response. Over the next 35 minutes we called 13 times her cell phone and work number and never got a response. She never called to notify us she would be late. She then showed up with no excuse or sympathy and proceeded to give our dog a sedative. The sedative did not work, leading to us watching our loved one struggle for 5 minutes before Bonnie stated she guesstimates the amount and would have to give her more. Bonnie showed complete apathy to showing up 45 minutes late without any notification. She never asked our dogs weight prior to giving the sedative and seemed completely fine with getting it wrong on the first attempt. Please consider going elsewhere before hiring this women for your loved ones last moments.
August 02 · shawn lorangerOther reviews are spot on. No nonsense and she will make it convenient for you. She came right to my beloved dog's bed and did what she came to do. I didn't need bedside back rubs. I already came to peace with my pup long before doc walked through the door. Worst day of my life but I wouldn't change a thing and would recommend Dr. Stevenson to anyone. My dog crossed over with zero stress and pain. I'll be forever grateful for people like her who do the great work they do.
December 26 · Nathaniel AlmeidaDr Bonnie is so awesome and the community is lucky to have such an asset..She's put down three dogs for me at home in their beds and a loving environment which is priceless to me..She comes right to the house to treat my animals she's loving caring compassionate knowledgeable punctual and super affordable I highly highly recommend her services..She's the first vet we call when we have a problem
July 17 · JENNY OUTORWe've sought out Bonnie's services for nearly 2 decades now. She's practical, no-fuss and compassionate to our pets. As a mobile vet, particularly after the pandemic since many practices have shut down or limited services, this has been vital for our pets staying well and healthy.
