VCA Irvine University Park Animal Hospital Introduce
For pet owners in Irvine and the greater Orange County area of California, VCA Irvine University Park Animal Hospital stands as a well-known institution offering a broad spectrum of veterinary services. This is not just a clinic for routine check-ups; it is a full-service animal hospital and pet wellness center equipped to handle everything from preventative care to emergency situations. The hospital's mission is to provide world-class medicine with a compassionate, hometown touch, ensuring that both pets and their human companions feel supported and cared for.
The facility is designed to be a comprehensive resource, meaning you can often take care of multiple needs in one convenient location. Beyond standard veterinary medicine, they also offer pet boarding and grooming services, providing a seamless experience for pet owners who need to manage their pet's health and wellness in a single visit. The team, including the veterinarians, technicians, and front office staff, is often praised for being knowledgeable and professional, and for their ability to handle both routine appointments and urgent cases with a high degree of skill. The clinic's staff is frequently recognized for their kindness and accommodating nature, with some clients noting how helpful they are with everything from bringing pets to the car to arranging phone payments. This personal, human-centered approach to service is a key part of the positive experience for many visitors.
However, it is worth noting that while the quality of care and the kindness of the staff are often highlighted, some clients have expressed concerns about the changes that have occurred since the clinic's acquisition by the larger VCA corporate network. A few reviews suggest that the priorities may have shifted, with a perceived increase in prices and a feeling that the business has become more focused on profit than on animal welfare. These experiences, while not universal, are a valid part of the clinic’s public profile and are something prospective clients may wish to consider. Despite this, the positive feedback about the competence of the veterinary staff and the comprehensive nature of the services offered continues to be a major draw for the local community.
VCA Irvine University Park Animal Hospital has a long-standing history in the community and a commitment to providing a wide range of services to ensure the health and happiness of pets in California.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I would like to recognize the vet techs and the front office staff that are always absolutely phenomenal. These ladies are incredibly kind, competent, and accommodating. I’ve come to this office several times with my 3 month old and they have been incredibly helpful each time with bringing my dogs to the car, letting me make payments over the phone, and providing privacy for feeds. Even without the baby, each visit is a breeze and my dogs love coming here. These ladies are the reason this office runs so smoothly!
February 13 · Arianna NischwitzThis clinic used to be so wonderful. Great doctors, techs, and staff, along with fair/equitable prices. I brought all of my animals here, and sung the praises of the clinic to anyone who was interested.Ever since they were bought out, things have simply gotten progressively worse. My most recent experience has sealed it, and I will never bring any of my animals back to this clinic again. The priority now seems to be greed, far and away moreso over the well being of your animals. I'm so disappointed.
June 08 · Chas NaylorMy comment is regarding VCA (who owns them now) not this vet. I went to him many years ago and he was nice.People may not know that VCA is owed by Mars (as in the candy company). They are buying out all the established vet clinics because the vet owners want to retire and not many people can afford to purchase them.If you look carefully you'll also see that they are buying the pet medicine companies too! This is a big problem. They are becoming a monopoly. This is why all your vet visits are so expensive!!They call if their "business model".I have experienced this first hand at another VCA clinic. It is also making it hard for the vets who are employees. They can't really move offices because they are all the same. They also own Banfields, Blue Pearl, and pet food companies (Eukanuba, Pedigree, etc.) I saw that they are reaching into Europe to do the same. You can see all the companies they now own online. It's kind of scary, like a sci-fi movie about an industry that is relied upon by humans and animals who are being devoured (overcharged) by the hidden alien! (I guess this is like Jeff Bezos. Look him up and see what he owns!!)
November 21 · Oh MomWe love bringing our little four-legged boy here! The past year and a half since we got our Gus-Gus has been extraordinary with all the staff, from the front desk with Joshlyn, Bella, and now Mary, who always has a warm welcome and smile, our beloved Vet Dr. Ma, who does excellent care of him in every sense, and the person who keeps our baby coat and look impeccably groomed every month Julia, all the staff technicians, assistants, etc. we can not be more thankful of the love, care and excellent job you do with our Dog! Gus-Gus feels at home and is happy to come around! THANK YOU for all the care you do for our little boy!
May 18 · Matt M. and Vivian A.We were going here for years, the most expensive place, but it was near our house. Thousands of dollars later and our dog at end of life. Given an antibiotic that did not have a great MIC (mean inhibitory concentration) whereas the organism was more sensitive to augmentin among several others. When she was finished with the nonsensitive antibiotic I wanted to try another give the above and given we just gone there, had a catheterization etc and a $700 bill. Dr Ma knew that our girl was in renal failure and this request was our last before possibly putting her down ie to see if she would respond to another antibiotic. As a physician I truly am appalled at denying this nominal request. Years of paying exorbitant prices they wanted to fleece us once more.
