★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1All I needed from This hospital was a rabies vaccination to keep my cat up to date. They were absolutely incredible. In the past I've used vetco and honestly they are a lot more inconvenient with an hour and 10 minute round trip and up to an hour in the location waiting for me to be called. VCA was 26 minutes round trip, 15 in the appointment, wonderful! This is really inconvenient because my cat is a notoriously worrisome traveler, and normally the trip ends with him redecorating the carrier coming from all three ends. The VCA is only 13 minutes away from my door and a full Veterinary service. I have been very lucky with this cat, he is extremely healthy and has almost never needed a vet visit and is well taken care of anyways. I am a new business owner and I love my cat and will do what I need to do for him, but I also need to keep the budget in mind as I'm in the beginning stages of business. I expressed this concern to them but also noted that I wanted to do what was best for my cat. Because of the proximity to my home he only puked a little bit but barely made a mess and the technicians there cleaned both him and the crate up. Due to his gentle nature and his lack of interaction with any other animals they suggested to skip the distemper as he has never bitten someone and has no history of any violent behavior. I feel like they really kept my cat's best interests in mind while also considering my budgetary concerns. They were personable, friendly, and did exactly what needed to be done while educating me and informing me on why they think the course of action is the best. This is the most pleasant vet experience I've ever had and will be back should I ever need them!
August 26 · Justin VickeryI’ve waited 3 months to write this review as I didn’t want it to be out of spite or anger . My first thought was to go into great detail about my family’s experience with Russell’s Animal Hospital but decided to make a long story short …..My daughter & Son-in-law had an 11 year old golden retriever. He was brought to Russell’s in January with several health concerns including fear of cancer . He also had a large mass on his sternum. He was in and out of Russell’s for numerous tests and bloodwork that they suggested from Jan 2025 into May 2025 . Test after test and bill after bill and over 3,000$ in Doctor fees , tests , etc. Russell’s failed to find the cancer that eventually took his life on Memorial Day Weekend. Once it got to the point that he wasn’t sleeping or eating my daughter & son-in-law took him to the Caves Emergency Hospital in Concord NH and in less than 20 minutes and a fee of 150$ vs 3,000$ (not exaggerating) the doctor on duty was able to thoroughly diagnose him & gave us the sad news that he had a cancerous tumor that was bleeding and it may be time to consider euthanizing him.I Don’t blame Russell’s for the cancer and I don’t know if the outcome would of been any different, but if Russell’s would of done their job & been more thorough in finding his cancer there may of been treatment options available to us , but at the very least my daughter and Son-in-law could of spent more quality time and been able to say goodbye over a longer period of time, Rather than getting blind sided and having 1 hr to say goodbye on a rainy cold Saturday morning on the floor of the Caves emergency room .Although Russell’s did allow me a 2 hour meeting with one of there long time Doctors to voice my concerns and answer my questions, I must say I walked away feeling as if they accepted no responsibility for not finding the cancer , and offered no sincere apologies.I’m sorry to say but “ SHAME ON YOU RUSSELLS!!! “ you dropped the ball . In my opinion you were too focused on “ Taking the round about way “ ringing up bills and rushing through tests than being more thorough and finding our poor dogs cancer . WE TRUSTED YOU WITH OUR BELOVED DOG & YOU LET US DOWN!! With that being said I COULD NOT AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RUSSELLS ANIMAL HOSPITAL TO ANYONE!! . If you do bring your pet there , be extremely careful , and bring the credit cards because they love to stack up the bills. I truly pray that your experience with Russell’s has a much better outcome than our families .
August 13 · Laurie RobinsonI’ve used RAH for over 15 years, well before they were VCA. Many of the vets and staff are still there, and I am always amazed at how kind and compassionate they are to all the animals I bring them. Whether my own personal animals, or the ones in my hospice care, I never doubt their expertise and knowledge. Thank you RAH for all your hard work and dedication to animal care
April 17 · Helen St. PierreI have been taking my dogs (Adult & Puppies) to Russell for several years. The staff is always friendly, kind and loving. Docs are amazing and take the time to explain things and answer questions. Thank you for taking care of my fur babies!
January 03 · Lisa RousseauFriendly staff and vets, clean office, fast test results. I am very happy with this place. Dr Fronts is professional, she saved my dog's life. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
