Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
For many New Jersey pet owners, finding accessible and affordable veterinary care is a top priority. While a full-service animal hospital is essential for comprehensive medical needs, a convenient and cost-effective option for routine preventative care can make a significant difference in a pet's long-term health. Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located inside Petco in Brick Township, offers a streamlined approach to these essential services. The clinic is designed to provide a specific set of key preventative treatments, allowing pet owners to get in, get the necessary shots or tests, and get back to their day. This model focuses on core health maintenance, such as vaccinations and parasite prevention, making it a viable option for pet parents looking for a practical solution for their healthy pets.
The concept of a vaccination clinic is a departure from a traditional veterinary office, and it is crucial for pet owners to understand the difference. Vetco provides a targeted, preventative approach, which can be an excellent supplement to a full-service veterinarian. The clinic aims to make essential vaccinations and health checks more approachable and less intimidating for both pets and their owners. For many, the ability to get routine vaccines without the full exam fee can be a major financial benefit. While a full veterinary office is still necessary for sick pets, surgeries, or complex medical issues, Vetco fills a specific niche by making preventative care more accessible and, as some customers suggest, more affordable.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic is conveniently situated inside the Petco store at 509 NJ-70, Brick Township, NJ 08723, USA. Its location on a major highway, Route 70, makes it easily accessible for residents throughout Brick Township and the surrounding areas in Ocean County. The presence of the clinic within a well-known retail store adds to the convenience, allowing pet owners to combine a quick visit for their pet's health with their regular shopping for food and supplies.
The clinic is designed with accessibility and a seamless experience in mind. The facility offers a wheelchair accessible entrance and a wheelchair accessible parking lot, ensuring that all customers can comfortably bring their pets for care. A restroom is also available on-site for the convenience of clients. It is important to note that Vetco operates on an appointment-required basis, which helps to manage wait times and ensure that each customer receives timely service. This structured approach helps maintain an orderly flow, even on busy days, and is a key part of the clinic's focus on a "quick visit" model. By scheduling ahead, New Jersey pet owners can ensure a smooth and efficient trip for their pet's preventative health needs.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic specializes in preventative care and offers a range of services designed to keep pets healthy and protected from common ailments.
Pet Vaccinations: The clinic provides a variety of essential vaccinations for dogs and cats, including Rabies, Feline Leukemia, Lyme, and other core vaccines. They offer different vaccination packages to make it easy for pet owners to get all the necessary shots in one visit.
Microchipping: For a pet's safety and identification, Vetco offers microchipping services. This quick procedure can be done during a vaccination appointment and is a crucial step in ensuring that a lost pet can be reunited with their owner.
Flea & Tick Prevention: The clinic provides various options for flea and tick treatment and prevention, including oral medications and topicals. They also offer heartworm preventatives and diagnostic testing for parasites.
Diagnostic Testing: Vetco performs diagnostic testing for common conditions, such as heartworm and fecal tests for internal parasites. These tests are essential for confirming a pet's health status and determining the right preventative plan.
Pet-Related Products and Services: Since the clinic is located within Petco, customers have access to a wide array of additional products and services. These include various pet supplies, grooming and bathing services (like the self-service dog wash), and even dog training classes. This makes it a multi-purpose destination for all pet needs.
Online Pharmacy: The business utilizes Petco Pharmacy, fulfilled by Vetsource, allowing pet owners to conveniently order prescriptions and have them delivered directly to their homes, simplifying the process of obtaining medications.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic's model presents several key features and highlights that make it a compelling option for certain New Jersey pet owners, but it is important to consider all aspects.
Affordability and Cost Savings: As one positive review notes, the cost of getting a dog vaccinated at Vetco can be a "fraction of the cost" of a traditional veterinarian's office. This is a significant highlight for pet owners on a budget, as Vetco clinics typically do not charge a separate exam fee for vaccinations.
Convenient and Streamlined Process: The clinic's focus on essential, preventative services allows for a quick visit. This is ideal for busy individuals who need to get their pet's shots or parasite prevention without a long, full-service appointment.
Professional Staff: A positive customer review highlighted that the veterinarians and vet technicians were "pleasant and professional." This speaks to the quality of the staff, who are licensed and knowledgeable in the services they provide.
Accessibility: The business's commitment to accessibility, with a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot, and restroom, is a valuable feature that makes it welcoming to all members of the community.

For New Jersey pet owners, the decision to choose Vetco Vaccination Clinic depends on their pet's specific needs. For pet owners with a healthy animal who primarily needs routine vaccinations, microchipping, or parasite prevention, Vetco offers a highly convenient and potentially more affordable solution. The clinic's model is designed to be efficient, making it an excellent option for those with limited time or budget who want to keep up with preventative care without a full veterinary exam fee. The clinic’s pleasant and professional staff, as mentioned in positive reviews, adds to the appeal, ensuring a positive experience.
However, it is crucial to understand that Vetco is not a substitute for a full-service veterinarian. The clinic's focus on preventative care means they do not provide services for sick or injured pets, and they do not perform spay/neuter procedures. Therefore, every pet owner should have a relationship with a traditional veterinary office for emergencies, diagnostics, surgeries, and comprehensive health monitoring. Vetco can be a valuable part of a pet’s health plan when used correctly, serving as a reliable and accessible resource for basic preventative needs. For the pet owner who understands this distinction, Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Brick Township is a worthwhile choice for its convenience and affordability.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Veterinarian and vet technicians were pleasant and professional. The costs of getting your dog vaccinated at the Vetco clinic is a fraction of the cost of going to a veterinarian office.
August 24 · Judi RannoHorrible experience! They charge more for vaccines than their posted prices. They are not cheaper than going to a real vet’s office. You have to stand around in the store waiting on line, no privacy. They make you come back for booster shots and charge you double for one type of vaccine than getting the same vaccine in ONE shot in the regular vet’s office! Also the Vet doctor’s behavior with the dogs was bizarre… she kisses them up and down all over. I never saw this before. Very unprofessional. All around, a terrible experience. Stick with a real vet’s office!
March 10 · RSDr. Joyce was very sweet and caring. Piper was a little nervous, but she and her technician made Piper feel safe! Love Vetco!!!
October 16 · Julie SantosI arrived and got in line around 3:05pm at the Brick, NJ location of PetCo. I was not seen until 5:56pm. I brought my kitten, on a leash which I have done many times before, and was told I would not be seen by the “vet” unless I put her in a carrier which I didn’t have with me. I had to get one or leave. The girl was very rude. Everyone in line was unhappy with how ridiculously long it was taking when this is usually a 20-30 minute thing. It’s just vaccinations. The vet and her assistants took a crazy long time in between each customer standing/sitting and talking. I have never been so aggravated going to PetCo/VetCo as I was on this occasion. I will never return to another Vetco again. I’d rather take my pets to an actual vet office and at least get treated better. The vet was polite but her assistant was rude to me and other people waiting on line.
