★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This store is one of the most confusing places I've ever had the pleasure of visiting.the pros.there's some GORGEOUS tanks here. clownfish heaven. so much live coral. giant, beautifully scaped and well stocked community tanks full of lush and thriving plants, and some amazing looking fish.there's also a great variety of fish and other animals sold here, and there's huge walls of tanks full of interesting different species. also a good selection of products, albeit a little pricy for me specifically.the cons. Not a fan of the whole "selling bettas in tiny tiny bins or cups on a shelf in unfiltered and heated tanks" thing, especially not tinier versions of those little critter keepers you can humanely use for little more than breeding crickets or maybe shrimp. incredibly unfortunate, because this is a very large store, and I just know there's a huge potential for a beautiful display of well kept bettas. i just wish they would lead by example.I know their main focus is on fish but it sucks to see them selling hamsters with incredibly small crittertrail style cages included. I can understand temporary poor housing in situations like rehoming, but actively advertising such small poor homes when you already sell properly sized glass tanks, and giving up an opportunity to properly educate potential owners about the care of an animal that is already massively mistreated and abused on a widespread scale is disappointing to me.i won't comment on their fish husbandry in massive detail, even if I have some concerns, as I know fish stores deal with emergency rehoming of large and complicated species all the time, and I have no idea what their full stories are, or whether or not some of their larger species are waiting to be moved to different setups. all I'll say is that the main stocked tanks leave a bit to be desired. not much in the way of plants or hiding spots in most of the tanks, which is unfortunate because they sell aquatic plants. not the cleanest either.TLDR: All in all I don't think I'll be returning, but I know they wont miss me because I know they've been a staple in the community for so long for a reason. not for me, but they've got a great selection of both fish and plants. (seeing this little guy was fun though, very curious and very cute)

January 23 · Carmencita GilesI have been going to this fish store for quite a while and in the last two years they have become worse than big box pet stores. Rotting dead fish in a majority of the tanks and no one seems to want to help customers. All they do is talk to each other. I bought water for my tank here and the water was filled with planeria. You have lost a loyal customer. Highly recommend Hereeee fishy store off of Newberry rd though!
