You won’t have to worry about the stress of finding a parking spot, as there is ample space available for attendees. This accessibility ensures that the expo is an inclusive event where everyone can participate and enjoy the show. The central location in Columbus makes it a manageable drive for those coming from different parts of the state, from Cincinnati to Cleveland, or from the smaller towns surrounding the city. As a specialized event, the Columbus Reptile Expo offers a wide range of services and products through its numerous vendors. This variety is one of its biggest draws, as it provides a one-stop-shop for everything a reptile owner could need. The services and offerings available include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Live Reptiles and Amphibians: A vast selection of species from top breeders, including a variety of snakes like ball pythons and hognose snakes, geckos, bearded dragons, turtles, tortoises, and more.
- Animal Feed: The expo is a prime source for all types of reptile food, from live and frozen rodents (rats and mice) to various insects like crickets, mealworms, and Dubia roaches.
- Reptile Supplies and Dry Goods: Vendors offer everything needed to set up a proper habitat, including terrariums, lighting, heating elements, substrates, hides, and other essential equipment.
- Expert Advice and Education: The expo is an excellent opportunity to speak directly with breeders and experts who can offer valuable advice on husbandry, diet, and care for specific species.
- Direct-to-Consumer Sales: As an event that brings breeders and buyers together, you can purchase animals and supplies directly, often at competitive prices and with the benefit of learning about the animal’s history from the person who bred it.
The Columbus Reptile Expo is distinguished by several key features and highlights that make it a truly exceptional event for the Ohio community. These are the elements that keep enthusiasts coming back month after month:
- Direct Access to Breeders: This is perhaps the most significant feature. You can purchase animals directly from the people who bred them, ensuring you get a healthy animal and a wealth of information from a knowledgeable source, as highlighted by a customer review praising the quality of their new pets.
- Diverse Selection: The expo hosts many different vendors, each with their own unique specialties. This means you’ll find a much wider variety of species and morphs than at a standard retail pet store.
- Community and Social Hub: The expo is a meeting place for like-minded individuals. It provides a platform for enthusiasts to share their passion, exchange knowledge, and build connections with other reptile lovers in the region.
- Competitive Pricing: Many customers note that the prices for both animals and supplies, especially feeders, are often more affordable at the expo than at other pet stores.
- Commitment to Animal Health: The expo has strict policies prohibiting unhealthy or sick animals, ensuring that the animals on display are well-cared for. This focus on ethical practices gives buyers peace of mind.
- Family-Friendly Atmosphere: The event is designed to be a fun and educational experience for all ages, making it a great weekend outing for the whole family, as described in customer reviews.

When you're considering where to acquire a new reptile or simply stock up on supplies, the Columbus Reptile Expo is an experience that is truly worth choosing. The primary reason for its popularity is the trust and quality it offers. Unlike a large retail store that sources animals from various places, the expo allows you to meet the breeder face-to-face. This direct connection ensures that you receive a healthy animal and invaluable, species-specific advice from someone who is truly an expert. The rave reviews from customers who have found healthy and friendly pets at the expo, like the bearded dragon and banana ball python, are a powerful testament to the quality of the vendors. Furthermore, the expo’s function as an "animal feed store" is a significant benefit, as it provides a consistent source for high-quality, often cheaper, feeders that are essential for reptile husbandry. For anyone in Ohio, the Columbus Reptile Expo offers a unique and highly beneficial opportunity. It’s a place where you can find exactly what you’re looking for, feel confident in your purchase, and become a part of a passionate and welcoming community. This blend of expertise, variety, and community makes it a standout destination and the clear choice for any reptile lover in the region.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My favorite reptile expo currently, have 2 baby’s from here that were healthy and super friendly. Bearded Dragon from one vendor and a banana Ball Python from Mariah (Holy Morph Ballz). Great people, great prices, nothing bad to say here.
October 24 · Zoe StoopsShow was amazing and fun. The vendors I talked to was nice. One of these was brought from Rock's Reptile feeding and supplies.
March 03 · kari CurrierThis is a small but decent show. There's a good variety of animals and supplies offered. Prices are very competitive. I saw beautiful snakes that you don't always see at smaller shows. It's worth the price of admission.
September 18 · Jeff WWill for sure be going to the next show, had a really great time, the vendors were knowledgeable and experienced, all the reptiles were in good health and it wasn't over crowded like some of the other shows I've attended. They had everything you would need for your reptiles. I'm glad there is another show in Columbus instead of just one gives me more than once a month to get my feeders.Update went to the show at the new location. On Refugee Rd and I must say it was even better love the new place loved the vibe and all the wonderful vendors, and all the animals were healthy and looked very taken care of
January 06 · Thomas PerkinsThis reptile show was a great experience, all the vendors were very nice and all the reptiles looked healthy and well taken care of.They knew so much about their reptiles, I actually learned alot and was surprised. Will most definitely be attending again. They not only have reptiles, but had birds, and a vendor that has healing crystals.( I don't know much about crystals, but I assume that's what they are used for. They also have a snack area with drinks, chips, popcorn, cotton candy (The kind you get at the fair, not the prepackaged kind),and homemade Fudge. They even have a vendor that sells plants.
