★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I scheduled an appointment for my dog’s bath and haircut. They asked if she had her rabies vaccine, and I brought her proof, but it was only valid for 2 years and they required a 3-year vaccine. So I booked an appointment at Vetco to get her the vaccine they requested. I waited several days just to be able to schedule her bath and haircut. The day finally came, and we arrived at her appointment. Everything was fine with her vaccine and she was ready for grooming. But just a few minutes later, they called me to say I had to come pick her up because they couldn’t cut her hair due to some tangles. When we went back to see her, the surprise was horrible!!! My dog came out extremely scared, with a terrible haircut. Unfinished, shaved in some spots, and in others still full of hair. It was embarrassing, humiliating, and frustrating. No one took responsibility, and I had to take her home like that. I wasted valuable time throughout this whole process, my dog was left in really bad shape, and her “haircut” was awful.A terrible experience—I will never go back, and I absolutely do not recommend this place. They treat customers poorly, take no responsibility, and don’t solve problems. They are supposed to be grooming experts, but clearly they are not trained to care for pets. The whole thing was a disaster!!
September 10 · Camila OrtizMy cashier, Marc, was very welcoming and knowledgeable (aware of the ongoing discounts before I showed him the coupon). His big smile and efficiency are the key reasons to keep us coming back. Thank you so much, Marc, for making this shopping trip such a pleasant experience!
August 04 · Wendy ChowOur review is specifically for the Petco Dog Individual Training we took here. Our trainer’s name was Anthony, and we had a fantastic experience! We brought our Jindo puppy here at 12 weeks old, and he immediately took to Anthony.Anthony is kind and knowledgeable, and he really helped us with puppy fundamentals. Jindos—especially purebred ones—are not well-known in the U.S. and are typically stubborn, intelligent, and aloof. This makes training more challenging than usual.Anthony came to our very first session prepared with research he had conducted on his own time and clearly laid out his plan for our lesson pack. Our puppy made great progress, and Anthony even helped us find specific treats our pup might enjoy, since he isn’t very food-motivated (Anthony correctly guessed that fish-based treats would work better because the breed historically comes from a small island).Overall, we absolutely loved working with Anthony and will miss our sessions with him—but we’ll definitely visit the store in the future to say hi!THANK YOU, ANTHONY!
September 13 · Simon MarlowNaSo I usually love Petco usually have great prices, products and people working there until I went to the Sunnyvale Location... Absolutely horrific experience. I just got a beautiful and cute husky Akita puppy mix and needed food, treats and other things a new owner would need. I had a few questions so I asked a worker, tall skinny brown haired girl with piercings, and she was absolutely horrible to me. She treated me as if I was stupid for even asking anything. She talked down to me as if I should already know these things I needed answers to. I've never in my life had such a horrible customer service experience in my entire life. She even made me cry. Please people if you can avoid this location do yourself a favor and find a different pet store. There are so many other choices. Avoid this one at all cost, this woman is so above anything you have to say... yuck!!!
May 04 · Kat PetersonI’m disappointed that Petco is reselling returned and damaged items, branding them as new. I purchased a Fluval 107 filter, and upon opening the box, water leaked from the canister, meaning, the filter had already been assembled and used. Moreover, one part was missing, and another was cracked. On top of that, the seal was assembled incorrectly, which is likely why the previous buyer returned the item - because the filter leaked when filled with water.Although I managed to get the filter working and dealt with the missing part, this experience has completely eroded my trust in buying from Petco. This was my first purchase, and it will also be my last.
