★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Lab for Pets is exceptional ! Working with them has been a great experience in spite of the incredibly difficult circumstances. While out of the country we got a call our young healthy 2 year old Leonberger 100lb pup had suddenly died with no known health issues. We were devastated and determined to understand what could have caused his death. We were very fortunate to find Lab for Pets. They were very responsive and super helpful. They did all of the complex coordination, arranging for pickup with constant communication. The pathologist, Dr. Shahrian is outstanding! He is caring, compassionate, and provides a very clear analysis of findings with extensive details and supporting evidence via his Necropsy report. He also follows up with a phone conversation to go over the findings and explains them in terms that are easy to understand. I cant say enough about how impressed I am with this Dr/DVM, his team and their service. I highly highly recommend them, and am so grateful for their amazing service. If you are in need of answers to a sudden death with a beloved pet there is no better pathologist/Dr/DVM than Dr Shahrian at Lab for Pets.
July 24 · Leslie FleischerAfter suddenly and very unexpectedly losing our young cat, we reached out to Lab for Pets and were able to bring him to the facility on the same day for necropsy (postmortem) services. The pathologist was very kind, communicative and transparent about the entire process (our first time going through this type of process). The final lab report was emailed to us and I received a phone call from the pathologist on the same day the report was emailed, where he spent time explaining the findings and making the report easier to understand. The pathologist also offered guidance and recommendations for the surviving littermate, given the results. The remains were then Fed Ex'ed overnight to us because we live in a different county and so we wouldn't have to drive back up to get them. They were beautifully and thoughtfully packaged as well. A lot of love seemed to go into that final part. I would very much recommend Lab for Pets for their necropsy and other services. They are professional and caring, especially during a very emotional process such as this. Thanks again
August 09 · Someh LewisWe lost our beloved pet and were devastated. This particular pet was so human like that losing him was very significant and impacting. I contacted Lab for Pets the morning after his death and sobbing thru the conversation but what was striking was how empathetic and kind the doctor is. We had several conversations throughout the necropsy process and when the report arrived, it was so thorough and answered all of our questions. We miss our baby so much but having a clear understanding of what happened is so helpful in moving forward. This Doctor is very kind and treats pet parents with much understanding. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend Lab for Pets. I am grateful to have found them.the conversation was impressed at how empathetic and kidn the Doctor was. We had several communications before the report arrived and it was so tho
August 30 · L AOur sweet dog, Holly suddenly passed a couple weeks ago. Our vet recommended LabForPets. And thank goodness. Dr Shahriar was so sweet and calm when talking us through what we needed to do on the phone. And the same when we arrived. He performed an autopsy, and kept us up to date on his findings through completion. We have some closure, knowing why our girl was suddenly taken from us. I can't recommend LabForPets enough. Thank you, Dr. Shahriar.
August 18 · Sue McginleyDr. Shahriar exceeded all of our expectations. Our beloved dog passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. We were distraught, and reached out to our primary veterinarian who recommended Dr. Shahriar's services. We were too devastated to drive our dog to Orange County; Dr. Shahriar personally offered to drive from his workplace in Orange County to Santa Monica to pick up our dog. Dr. Shahriar is incredibly caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He was able to find out the cause of our dog's death, which provided us with a sense of closure. Dr. Shahriar maintained regular communication with us throughout the process, answering all of our questions. We felt like we were there with him every step of the way. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Shahriar and his team. If you are at all considering a necropsy, please contact Lab for Pets. You will not be disappointed.
