When choosing a veterinary care provider, it is essential to consider all aspects of the practice. While Animal Hospital Santa Fe offers a wide array of services and a highly-praised doctor, the concerns raised in some reviews regarding staff demeanor and potential issues with medication dosage are significant factors to consider. The positive feedback about the doctor's skill and the hospital's ability to provide urgent care is a strong argument for its medical competence. The story of a very sick, 18-year-old cat getting better after a visit here is powerful. On the other hand, the negative experience with the receptionist and a reported medication error are serious issues that could impact a pet owner's sense of safety and trust. Ultimately, what is worth choosing is a balance of professional medical care and a positive overall client experience. For those who prioritize a skilled doctor and quick access to care, and are willing to navigate potential issues with front-end staff, Animal Hospital Santa Fe could be a good fit. It is recommended to approach the clinic with an awareness of these varying experiences, and to communicate your needs clearly to ensure a safe and positive visit for both you and your pet.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve gone here for years with my mother. The doctor is AMAZING!! My pets are doing great because of the doctor. My issue is with the older woman as the receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional. She has been unpleasant since we started taking our pets a few years ago. I called yesterday evening to ask an estimate and not only was she rude about policy but slammed the phone to hung up after an extremely annoyed “alright then”!! I feel that guests should be treated with kindness at all times, especially if they are seeking healthcare for their pets. I’ve stopped recommending people this place because of her. Not to mention SHE WAS UNDER DOSING MY PETS MEDICATION!!! She had no clue as to what she was doing and my dogs got worse, extremely worse before they got better. She didn’t even mutter a sorry about it. If the owner is reading this, please hire better staff. We want to feel safe taking our animals to you guys:( if she doesn’t like her job maybe she should switch occupations. Treating people poorly in vulnerable times is an ugly look for an establishment.
June 04 · Priscilla CarranzaThe vet and staff were so wonderful here, my cat is like 18 years old and I was so scared when he had a really bad eye infection. His normal vet said it take a month to see him, but this vet saw him right away and fixed him right up. They helped so much!!! Thank you guys, you are the best! These are pictures of when he was sick and then got better.
December 14 · Yesenia ChaidezWe adopted a puppy from the Labelle foundation and they referred us to get our puppy fixed. They are very professional and they take walk ins no appointments needed. Plus they re open til 9pm. And their fees are a blessing compared to other animal clinics. We're in Torrance but it was worth the drive.
January 25 · Fabian Bolanos (ROCKNFILM)Trujillo will lie to you he said my dog cancer was spreading it really brought me down mentally... i took him to another vet got xrays there is no signs of cancer i brought several dogs/cats here my list is endless but will not be returning here here are some photos with no cancerHis solution was to either amputate his leg or to put him to sleep. Dr kim in JH animal hospital was quick to help me. The skinny nurse with blonde hair with an accent will stand there a lie with trujillo. Front office girls/older lady dont know nothing what soever. Robert will lie with them. They lie as a team. Dont get fooled.Add on been over a month and mt dog is the healthiest ive ever seen i still cant believe dr trujillo wanted me to pay 15k+ for a treatment, amputate, or put him to sleep. Idk if my dog bit them but you do not lie to someone when they are most vulnerable. Dr kim at JH immidiately knew what issue was but i requested the xrays to show what a lie i went through with this vet.
April 27 · Alejandro GarciaResponsible prices and good service! I don't trust veterinary clinics. Most places I've went to seemed like they were only in it for the money. This place gave me a different vibe. I put my cats surgery in their hands and wasn't disappointed. So far I'm impressed with this clinic. I will be coming back!
