Boston Veterinary Clinic Introduce
For pet owners throughout Massachusetts, finding a veterinary clinic that not only provides excellent medical care but also creates a stress-free and compassionate environment is a top priority. In Wellesley, the Boston Veterinary Clinic (BVC) has become a trusted partner in pet health, renowned for its commitment to a "Fear Free" approach. This isn't just a claim; it's a core philosophy that shapes every aspect of the clinic's operations, from the design of their spaces to the gentle handling of every patient. The entire team, from the front desk staff to the veterinary doctors, is dedicated to making each visit as comfortable and positive as possible for your beloved animal. As one customer so lovingly put it, they "go above and beyond to make our dog feel safe and comfortable," a sentiment that speaks to the heart of their practice. This level of personalized, attentive care is what builds trust and keeps pet owners returning for all of their animal's needs, whether it's a routine check-up or a more complex procedure. The clinic’s commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest research ensures that your pet receives the most modern and effective treatments available. This blend of cutting-edge medicine and old-fashioned kindness is the hallmark of the BVC experience, making it a true standout in the Wellesley area.
The clinic’s reputation for excellence is largely built on the quality of its team. As highlighted in a customer review, veterinarians and vet techs, such as Dr. Katuna, Dr. Chelsea, Mars, and Newt, are praised for their skill, knowledge, and loving approach. They understand that a pet’s anxiety can be a major barrier to effective care, and they take proactive steps—such as slowing things down and offering extra love and affection—to make the visit a positive one. This focus on the emotional well-being of the animal is a distinguishing feature of the BVC. The clinic’s commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive space for all is also a key part of its identity. Identifying as LGBTQ+ friendly and a transgender safe space, BVC ensures that every person who walks through its doors feels respected and comfortable, creating a truly community-oriented environment. This holistic approach to care, which includes both the pet and their human family, is what makes BVC feel like more than just a medical facility; it feels like a partner in your pet’s lifelong journey to health and happiness. Their dedication to creating a calm and secure setting for every patient demonstrates their understanding of the unique bond between people and their pets.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1BVC Wellesley has been our go to stop for all of our pup's care needs. The entire team from front desk to vet techs and DVMs has been kind, patient, and thoughtful in their approach. The team always goes above and beyond to make our dog feel safe and comfortable - taking things slow, giving him lots of love before/during/after each visit, and adjusting their approach based on their observations of what eases our dog's anxiety. We love their commitment to keeping up with the latest research, and always taking time to answer all our questions. Would highly recommend BVC Wellesley (we see Dr. Katuna and Newt) to anyone looking for a highly skilled, knowledgeable, and loving vet team!!
April 03 · Ajinkya NeneI love the whole team! Dr. Chelsea, Mars & Newt were awesome today with our little baby Saint. I am so grateful for them.
May 17 · Jarlynne SeverinoOverall friendliness and empathy from everyone I've interacted with. The woman working at the front desk has always been so nice and my dog is so happy to see her. All the techs have been wonderful. The vets have been mostly great but we've seen some one different almost every time which makes me wonder why they don't stick around. Everyone shows extra Caring and empathy. My dog doesn't respond well to handling and they have been helpful in figuring out how to work with him.
March 13 · Flavia GneccoI’ve been bringing my dog Izzy to see Dr. Chelsea at Boston Veterinary Clinic since I adopted her in 2021, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care we’ve received. From day one, it’s been clear that the entire team is passionate about what they do and treats every animal as if they were their own.Izzy is extremely anxious in new situations and doesn’t handle vet visits well. Thankfully, this Fear-Free Certified team quickly found a thoughtful solution that allowed Izzy to get the top-notch care she deserves without unnecessary stress. Her annual visits—now done under light sedation—have become peaceful little naps rather than traumatic experiences.Beyond their exceptional care for Izzy, the team is always friendly, knowledgeable, and completely transparent—especially when it comes to treatment plans and billing. Their compassion and professionalism have brought me so much peace of mind.We have since moved out of state to RI, but our vet care remains in MA because of the exceptional care and understanding for Izzy's individual needs. I can’t recommend Dr. Chelsea and the team at Boston Veterinary Clinic in Wellesley enough. Thank you all for everything you do! 💕🐾
May 20 · Abbey ClarkWe just moved back to Wellesley a few weeks ago, and I took our pup, Enzo, to the Boston Veterinary Clinic. Getting the appointment was a breeze, and the clinic is state of the art. It was amazing! Newt and Dr. Ruzzo were thorough and gentle and loving to our Enzo. They put him at ease while examining him and it just could not have gone any better. And Enzo loves the glass enclosed exam rooms where he can see all the other pups coming and going! It kept him entertained while waiting his turn!
