CAMP Clinic Mission Hills Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the expansive and diverse landscape of Southern California, finding veterinary care that is both high-quality and affordable can be a top priority for pet owners. Nestled in the heart of Mission Hills, the CAMP Clinic stands as a beacon of hope and health for the region's animal companions. CAMP, which stands for Community Animal Medicine Project, is a veterinary clinic with a clear and compassionate mission: to provide high-quality, low-cost veterinary services to underserved communities in the Los Angeles area. This philosophy is at the core of everything they do, from their extensive range of services to their commitment to accessibility. They believe that no animal should be surrendered to a shelter or go without needed medical attention simply because their owner cannot afford it. This is not just a business; it's a dedicated community resource striving to substantially reduce animal shelter euthanasia and intake. Their work has already had a profound impact, contributing to a significant decrease in the number of pets being euthanized in LA city shelters by spaying and neutering hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats.
The clinic is staffed by a team of professional, empathetic, and highly skilled veterinary professionals. They handle a wide range of medical and surgical needs, always with the well-being of the animal at the forefront. What sets CAMP Clinic Mission Hills apart is its understanding of the bond between a pet and its family. The staff are known for being extremely kind and helpful, offering advice and support to pet owners, including first-time "pet parents." The clinic’s focus on preventative medicine, like affordable vaccinations and regular check-ups, is a key part of their strategy to help pets live longer, healthier lives while also helping owners avoid the high costs of more serious conditions later on. Whether it's a routine check-up, a much-needed surgery, or a discussion about end-of-life care, clients can feel confident that their pet is in capable and caring hands. The clinic's environment is also designed to be as stress-free as possible for both pets and their owners, with a Fear Free Handling approach that ensures a more comfortable experience for anxious animals.
Location and Accessibility
Conveniently located at 15321 Brand Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345, CAMP Clinic is a central and easily reachable location for residents across the San Fernando Valley and surrounding Los Angeles communities. The clinic is designed with client convenience and accessibility in mind, starting right from the moment you arrive. They offer a wheelchair-accessible car park, ensuring that everyone can safely and easily bring their pet to the clinic. This commitment to accessibility continues with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, making it simple for people with mobility challenges to navigate the facility. Furthermore, the presence of a wheelchair-accessible toilet highlights their attention to the needs of all visitors. The clinic's location is well-known and serves as a hub for veterinary services in the area. Given the high demand for their affordable and compassionate care, the clinic operates on an appointment-based system, with appointments recommended and required for most services. This ensures that wait times are managed efficiently and every pet receives the dedicated attention they need. Despite this, they also have specific hours for services like vaccinations that do not require an appointment, showing their flexibility to meet the community's needs. This combination of thoughtful physical accessibility and well-organized planning makes the experience as smooth as possible for all patrons and their pets.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1They helped neuter my dog! I have a yellow Labrador retriever. I called around multiple places and every place wanted over $500 with my neuter certificate from the city. CAMP only had me pay $170 for bloodwork and $30 for pain medications and nothing for the neuter. They took great care of my boy and I couldn't be happier. He healed well and they finished him early as I asked. Thank you for providing affordable vet care and caring for my boy!
August 18 · RachI've been bringing my sweet little Terrier mix to CAMP for rabies vaccines and wellness checks since we adopted her in 2022. The staff have always been kind and helpful during visits. The facility also has dog friendly landscaping outside.
April 04 · Rebecca CWe've been bringing our pets here for about a year and a half, and it's been a great experience overall. Their vaccine prices are very affordable, and their hours are convenient. The staff is generally helpful—some more than others—but given the high volume of patients, occasional hasty or rude interactions are understandable. Despite that, I truly appreciate their hard work and the valuable service they provide to the community.
June 03 · Kimberly HernandezI would like to take the time and inform whoever it may concern. This organization is very helpful. The staff all seem very friendly, attentive, and caring. I took my 2 year old cat to get spayed and the process was easy. Visit the website, make a call (I highly recommend joining their waitlist), drop off early in the morning, pick up mid afternoon. Staff is informative, some more than others, but overall very helpful. I also suggest filling the online forms accurately and emailing them directly to the location with your appointment.I was given a follow up call by Eli who took the time to hear out my concerns and answer my questions. I feel at ease and much more confident in the process.
May 12 · Jesus CruzCamp Clinics should be the poster child for all vets. Even though the staff is extremely busy, they take the time to answer even the simplest question. The staff is awesome, they handle each pet as if it was precious cargo, and they are! The ambiance here is calm. I thought my dog was going to freak out with all the movement and noise. Instead, my dog wanted to play. The facility is clean, no animal smell and they really know their stuff. I would highly recommend this clinic for spay/neuter surgery (my doggie had this) or just for regular vet services. They are more affordable than my old Vet and the vaccines are definitely worth the price. Keep up the great work!
