★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been here several times. Awesome people all around. The front desk girls are friendly. The techs are awesome. The vets are super knowledgeable. My cat was purring and making biscuits the entire time, even being there with a bloody paw. They’re not aggressive with the animals like some places I’ve been. And they called a few days later to check and make sure the medications were working. Prices were very reasonable. 10/10
August 12 · Alex Wilcox (Alante Web Design)Would highly recommend! They were able to get my Lilah in quickly for an urgent care visit when none of the vets in my area could! They took great care of my Lilah, and the vet gave me reassurance as an extremely worried cat mom! Vet care is pricey everywhere but the prices were reasonable for testing done!
July 19 · Kat KenyonI do NOT recommend this vet clinic especially for euthanasia. My family cat of 18 years had a horrific end of life because of this place. When I followed up with management she said she'd follow up after I made a request for a refund of services I never requested then blew me off.My cat of 18 years was at the end of her life. I wanted to humanely euthanize her when it was right for my family. One of the most difficult decisions I've ever made. I had her for my entire adult life. The vet we use at our new location had agreed to euthanize her but I didn't want to drive 2.5hrs with my dead cat in the car next to my child so I made an appt here as we used this vet for decades. I told them on the phone the situation and they agreed to make the appt to euthanize her. They never requested her full history and in fact it was me who asked if they wanted to at least see her recent blood work.Once we arrived the vet refused to euthanize her claiming she had too much quality of life because the cat jumped off of the table to walk around the room then demanded I pay to vaccinate her when she didn't need to be vaccinated!! She had dementia and always wandered around howling. Had they requested all her records they'd have known this. The vet even tried to get me to buy over 100$ worth of prescription food I didn't need and pushed bloodwork on me. The vet insisted on not euthanizing and vaccinating against my requests and I didn't want to just walk out without paying even though I should had. Regrettably I didn't.Not even a week later the very same thing the vet claimed was reason not to euthanize her (she can jump) took her to her death when she jumped off of my third story patio slamming onto the corner of the stone step causing her irreversible injury. She had dementia. My 12 year old daughter blamed herself and it was a very traumatic experience for my family. We thought we lost the cat until our community found her injured with a neighbor whom had attempted to save her. I was able to get her back and I had to make an emergency vet appointment on a Sunday morning to euthanize her and drive her 2.5hrs back to my family in Montrose to have a proper burial. The level of insincerity and lack of professionalism from the vet to management is disgusting. My family will never return here and I highly recommend you use other vets in the area. I've used Towne & Country many times and they are much more professional and better to work with. Take your pets somewhere else where they genuinely have your pets best interest in mind.
September 29 · SierraOur Experience With EMVC Montrose PA. We took all 5 of our pets to Dr.Crowley for 20 years, nothing fancy but the best of care! Then to Town&Country. Our dog got sick over the weekend, unfortunately Town&Country was booked. First mistake. So I called emvc they said bring her tues. could not go in with her as of Covid. they called me said they wanted to run Tests it would be about $200 I said ok, called me back and said with medication and small bag of dog food $32.99 it was $895.90. After getting her home started her on meds the next day she went from eating a little to one bit, next day nothing. I called them said meds did not help, again next day she wasn't any better and seemed full of fluid, took her back saturday The second mistake was taking her back They said they wanted to run heart test that would be $274. with another med. 5days now. By sunday Much worse, day6 She vomited up a blood clot the size of my hand, and of course closed. So I called Northeast vet referral in Plains Pa. hour away. They came out with a strecher ran test altrasound oxegan said she had about 30ml of fluid mixed with blood that would have to come off, she was in really bad shape and it didn't look good. She was weak and had suffering so long we decided to have her put to sleep. As they where bringing her back to say good by, she could see us through the glass door, she pick her head up high she thought she was going home. I hugged her as she went to sleep, Funny I was just playing with her the week before. The vet and staff felt so bad and where so kind. The cost for everything tests and treatment, cremation and paw print photo was $498. not a fancy place but very good care! we had a 16year old that died in 2016 a15year died last year both dogs, and this year our Rosie. now left are a13old dog and 16 year old cat, thats a long time they are family! SO go with your gut feeling.
