★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I cannot adequately express the level of empathy, care and compassion the staff at La Verne Animal hospital had for my family as we made the extremely difficult decision to euthanize our 19 year old Maltese mix baby boy Hubble. Dr. RACHEL NIU was incredibly patient and understanding as we bid farewell to our precious dog. She thoroughly explained the process and was so gentle with our Hubble. Her level of empathy and compassion was evident during the entire process. Every staff member at La Verne animal hospital provided the same level of care as Dr. Niu and went above and beyond to meet our needs and allow us the time we needed to say our goodbyes. Although this was the first time we went to La Verne animal hospital, it will not be the last. We plan on switching care for our other dog, Bentley, to this facility. It is with extreme gratitude that I highly recommend La Verne animal hospital for all veterinary care.Update: We picked up Hubble’s ashes today and are so impressed with the presentation. They put his ashes in a beautiful engraved wooden urn, gave us a ceramic paw print, a lock of Hubble’s hair, a poem that made us ugly cry, and a very sweet sympathy card. I could not ask for a better experience than I had at LaVerne Animal Hospital.
July 22 · Mary Christine GravesThankyou Dr. Mirzaian and Cesar for taking such throughtfull care of Sidney my cat when she passed today. Team was very considerate for my wishes and careful for Sidney's final care.
April 08 · Stephen EcclestonI had taken my dog to doctors earlier this week, then to La Verne Animal Hospital. I learned the difference between a rushed, basic analysis and a thorough, detailed, not rushed analysis by far. La Verne Animal Hospital and its team SETS THE BAR. Dr. Mirzaian was all I could ask for and more. Gentle, patient with a nothing gets by her quality.
July 06 · Lana OWe worked with LAH to get international health certificates for our dog to travel with us on an extended work trip. The federal agencies who supplied the certificates were a nightmare - difficult to get a hold of, and they sent the certificates late so we had to rearrange our travel plans. The staff at LAH, on the other hand, were so incredible to work with throughout the entire process. They pushed the agencies hard on our behalf, and just took wonderful care of us through what was a very stressful process. Huge shoutout in particular to Megan who fought for us and was so communicative and helpful throughout everything. Can't rave enough about the team at LAH.
April 21 · Calvin MohammadiI took my sweet Goldendoodle to Dr Niu for a standard neuter procedure a month ago. She offered/recommended an additional procedure, scrotal ablation, be done at the same time due to his age and size. I checked with 4 other vets, a vet tech, and my dog trainer, who all said not to do the ablation because it’s not really a thing and the vet probably just wants more money (additional $300 charge). Please see the photo of the day after my dog’s neuter (horrible bruising, swelling, and bleeding) and the second photo after he had to have another surgery (scrotal ablation) to fix the issue caused by the neutering. He had to have internal sutures, external sutures, staples, and had to wear a cone for 3 weeks. To add insult to injury, I paid $818.50 for the neutering procedure then paid $1,163.50 the next day for the second surgery to fix the botched neuter procedure. Needless to say, I am currently looking for a new vet and will not be taking my sweet dog back to La Verne Animal Hospital.
